I can't rate the food because we didn't eat any because there was no running water or paper towels in the men's room, which made us question what was happening in the kitchen. The crowd was mostly mellow, nice people but sprinkled with a few people who reeked of LOUD (skunky Marijuana). There was no good scotch or whisky except Glenlevit 18 and 24, so I had to settle for water and pop. I absolutely questioned if they were not actually rebottled off-brand scotch because clealy you're not selling much of it. Allow BYOB if you don't have better options. The tablecloth where we sat was crusty/dirty. We asked for the March Madness game, which the bartender turned to for about 10 minutes; next thing we knew, the TV was playing a college hockey game- which no one was watching. I did notice how clean the floor (not sticky) and bar top were so that was nice. The DJ did her thing- Tilly was very nice. Parking was scarce after 8pm but the lot was well-lit. The back patio was gorgeous and it wasnt even open yet! Big plus. Overall, however, I'm sure it's a great place for some, but not for...
Read moreMy friends mom had a party here for her birthday. The bartenders were cool but besides that the owner and security guard was harassing us all night. We got followed to the bathroom. The security guard broke the bathroom door and blamed it on one of my friends as well. Other people were leaving out and coming back in continuously but when me and my friend tried to she told us we wouldn’t be let back in. The security guard was very disrespectful yelling and cursing us out instead of simply having a conversation. We left early because it got to a point where we all started feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable in that lounge MAINLY because...
Read moreWhat a great new place in Markham. Clean and quaint. The (soul) food was EXCELLENT and very reasonably priced. The cook can sure cook and sing and she is excellent at both!!! Good selection of food offered. Full bar. All of the family staff were friendly and welcoming. They offer brunch on Sundays and a band on select nights. You can't enter through front entrance on the street, you have to walk past the garage and ring bell to enter. The place was definitely a hidden gem. I can't wait to go back and try...
