If you haven't checked out Hot Java Cafe i HIGHLY recommend you do. Customer service A+ Food A+ Coffee C Over the past few weeks I've stopped in there to try a few items. I've gotten- The breakfast sandwich- yummy basic sandwich. They packaged it special for my son so he could eat on the road. The bagle with Lox - DELICIOUS! I got it on an everything bagel and wouldn't recommend it. Stick with the plan bagel otherwise it was too salty. It was packaged with care and had papers between the bagel sides so nothing was messy. The smoked salmon melted in your month 😋 😍 was the most expensive item I tried but so worth the price. Now this is what really keeps me coming back...their BISCUITS AND GRAVY ARE BOMB! Best I've had in kitsap. Its made from scratch everyday. They use bacon and pork sausage. It reminds me of the gravy I got in Mississippi. So flavorful and thick. Not that runny stuff you normally get. If nothing else, try the biscuits and gravy. Now the downside... the coffee is ok at best. The shots taste expired or burnt :( yes, I talked with the batista and it didn't change the quality. Everything else has been delicious and the quality is on point.

Came here a few times, spent WAY too much money for breakfast, then was confronted by an employee in a rude manner when I ran in to grab food that I had called ahead for (which wasn't ready after 20 minutes). It wasn't the end of the world, but the automatic assumption that I needed to be berated loudly in front of the entire shop was wrong and I will not ever step foot in here again, and I'll happily encourage anyone I know to try ANYWHERE else. I think that spending $21 dollars (including an unearned tip) on a a greasy bagel and coffee should pay for an employee who can behave with some modicum of customer service, instead of screeching "MA'AM YOU CAN'T PARK THERE" over and over again, no matter how I responded or tried to explain that the other worker was getting my coffee 'in just a sec'. Even though we now have to CONTINUALLY lower our standards for 'good' customer service these days, this place not only lost my business forever, I will highly discourage friends and family from ever visiting. That is the power of learning how to interact professionally when you work for tips.

I found this place today and I thought I'd stop in to check it out. It's a drive thru and also a little cafe to walk up to and sit in. The woman who greeted and served me was such a sweetheart, very warm and inviting. I felt very comfortable here. The atmosphere is very cheerful. I ordered the Tuna on a croissant and it was pure divinity. The croissant was warm and sooo flaky and crispy, but not overbearingly so. It comes with a side of potato salad, fruit, pringles and I think macaroni salad, but I'm not 100% on that last one. I highly recommend the tuna. I'm not a fish eater, but I get a craving for a good tuna sandwich once in a while. That said, this was incredible. I also had a peach strawberry smoothie and it was delicious! I'm moving away from Kitsap soon, so I'm sad I won't be able to have this regulary. A+++

Yes! Yes! Yes! From friendly service to perfect drinks and fulfilling breakfast in density and flavor. We opted to go inside the cafe to order our take out breakfast versus the drive thru. Seems like they may be working on the interior a bit, but it wasn't distracting. They have a little corner with books and toys for the kiddos, and highchairs.

We were immediately greeted by a gal in the back. She kindly offered her recommendations when asked and was helpful in explaining ingredients and flavors. We ordered the $14 BB Burrito; eggs, bacon and cheddar - no skimping on this fatty breakfast burrito! Also got the $3.50 single slice avocado toast and added hard boiled eggs for an extra $1.50, def worth it. Don't be fooled by its appearance, so much flavor and deliciousness! The single slice was perfect for me, I loved the garlic, salt and pepper seasonings and sourdough.

Aside from the traditional coffee drinks, they have smoothies and blenders. We got the Mango smoothie, smallest size is 16oz. Vanilla Chai tea latte with almond milk, so much yum!

So glad we ventured 7 minutes off our route to check Hot...
