I have to be honest, after 4 years of coming and going here... there's much better places that are also inexpensive. Being hispanic/latino myself and seeing people glorify this place is just... face palm🤦🏻♂️ Their service is not great and they will serve you unfresh food like meat. It'll taste like it's expired or are serving you leftovers that didn't sell and went bad. They seem quite authentic but don't even know how to make certain things that they sell, where as a latino you know that it was either made lazily or they just don't know what they're doing. This place seems to have been struggling for some time and they to try to get more clientele by having a store as well as getting a new sign but in the meanwhile, the food lacks, the service lacks, is rude and the inside of that place looks water damaged or something. They haven't fixed the damage inside for the past 4 years. Instead of focusing on being a better business with their food and hospitality, they went and got a new sign. For what? To bring more people inside to realize how bad it is? Bad at business. I have given this place many chances and I am sad to say that I dislike it very much to the point where I'm telling you about it.
Ps. I also remember ordering an elote to go and they wrapped it in foil, like who tf does that? All the cheese and condiments came off and were stuck to the wrap. You put elote in a box. You...
Read moreTasty well filled tacos. Had the lengua (well braised, tender), tripas (they like to serve these super crispy which is not my fave but they were still very good) and birria (tender but a little underwhelming).
Salsas were very good- green had a lot of flavor and was nice cutting through the fattiness of the meat, the red was smokey and tasty if a little overwhelming for certain tacos. Generous serving of each.
The hibiscus / jamaica was not too sweet and tasted homemade and very good.
Dined in and the music was on point- I could eat tacos and listen to Selena any day. Saw many people order the menudo (which is a proper Sunday order) and it looked great. There were a lot of to go orders and my food came out...
Read moreMy boyfriend spotted this place as we were driving through the area and we decided to stop so he could get something to take home. I wasn't hungry so I waited in the car. He was in and out really quick. We got home and he realized that he forgot to ask for no avocado (he is allergic) so he gave his food to me instead (he ordered a wet burrito). I still wasn't hungry but decided to try a bite anyway. Big mistake. It was SO GOOD I could not put the fork down and 10 minutes later I looked pregnant. Probably the best burrito I've had in my life. We will definitely be back!
UPDATE We've been back many times, the wet burrito continues to be our absolute favorite! Their churros are...
