La Cabaña Juke Joint — Restaurant in Brent

Food is great. No complaints there. The service is lacking as it seems to be one young lady working who always has a kid around her and a cell phone attached to her ear. The atmosphere is lacking. Usually empty, TVs usually off or on a YouTube music channel (yes, with advertisements and all!), and an aggressive dog breed (pit bull) walking around the back area of the building and property. The bar counter is usually a mess with random oddities that only takes away from your area to eat. Again, food has been pretty good, but I recommend just ordering to-go. I think this place also has a food truck, and that seems like a much better business model compared to what I’m seeing now. The neighboring business seems to be run by a bunch of good ol’ boys who take up all the parking spots. I love big trucks too, but usually when that place is open there is very limited parking for here...

Some of the kindest people you'll ever meet, and incredibly attentive. This IS a family-owned restaurant, so you'll often find the owner's absolutely adorable little one on site, offering help wherever he can or just politely and quietly hanging out. La Cabaña offers some of the most authentic Mexican cuisine in Pensacola, with an amazing atmosphere to boot. OMG!!! What an amazing place! The food is so authentic and fresh. There are so many places to vibe out. Gia is delightful and so accommodating. The kids absolutely love it here and beg me to go back constantly. Not to mention the amazing event space!!!
