La Michoacana — Restaurant in Florida

Usually when I go here I don’t have any issues with cross-contamination but today I did. I ordered some Oreo ice cream and I told the woman who was making the ice cream that I had an allergy and asked if she could use a different scooper. I watched as she was scooping out the ice cream and I noticed pink ice cream inside of the tub. Not only did she not remove it, but she scooped it into my scoop as if it wasn’t there. I know it was strawberry and I’m not allergic to it but there was a peanut tub infront of the Oreo one and it had me wondering if some of it was also in my scoop. I did ask her to re-scoop mine and she did but instead of throwing out the first scoop she made, she stirred it back into the ice cream tub which just disgusted me. It really disturbed me that she did this infront of me because that’s something you’re likely to do while people aren’t looking. Again, this doesn’t usually happen (or maybe it does and I’m just now noticing) but if you or your child has an allergy, either don’t go there or ask if they can use a different,...

Atmosphere: The entire space is bright and colorful with a section of booths for seating and a long ice cream stand that holds all of their different treats in addition to a kids play area! They also have a room to the left with an open doorway that serves as a mini market with different goodies! Service: The people here are kind and put together the ice cream flavors that you want pretty quickly. Menu items: They have so many different ice cream flavors and types of ice creams to choose from including milkshakes and shaved ice! I can’t remember the flavors that I got, but I had decided on a waffle cone with two different flavors of ice cream scoops.

This was a wonderful rainy day find! We were looking for a place our toddler could run off some steam, and with the play place in the mall not being open, we were looking for a different indoor place. This was such a neat place! The ice cream was smooth and creamy, rich in flavor, and they had some flavors I've never seen! I tried the pine nut ice cream and it was very tasty, and my toddler had the classic chocolate. Delicious! And after ice cream, he could run around and play on the indoor slide, which was a real blessing. They also have some neat treats and snacks that I'll have to come back and try. Overall, definitely a place I'll be looking forward to...
