If you want to wait several hours for cold, below average cookies - look no further!
Yes, they have an app you can use to order ahead, but what's really neat is that you can place the order and then have no earthly idea when it will be ready by!
When it's been an hour and there's no update, you can call and listen to the absolutely not rage-inducing crumbl cookies theme song on repeat, while an automated voice tells you for upwards of 20 mins that the estimated wait time is 1 minute. When you finally get through, someone may hang up on you (like they did on my first time) so you can go through that while process again! What a delight! If you are lucky enough to get through to a person, they'll be no help whatsoever. Score!
Now it's been two hours of waiting and being told not to leave your vehicle as that is what the curbside delivery people are looking for, you'll go investigate the actual store to find the secret "curbside pickup line". Here you'll find other frustrated customers you can talk to! We all crave social time during COVID-19, so really appreciate the out of the box thinking crumbl came up with to enable their customers to have an avenue of speaking to a stranger.
If you are lucky enough to get your cookies, they'll spell your name wrong on the box, even if you typed your name in correctly on the app! They'll be cold and unpleasantly dense... Not to my taste, especially after that wait.
Avoid this place like the actual, literal plague that is tearing through the world right now.
UPDATE: crumbl support, as seen below, cannot offer you a refund. If you want a voucher to have a repeat of the same experience outlined above, they'll get that taken care of for you, though why you'd want to...
Read moreI really hate giving negative reviews, especially to newer businesses, but my experience was a horrible first impression. We ordered a variety box for curbside pick-up, and they confirmed, both through the web page and text, SO many times beforehand. We replied each time that we'd be there. The parking lot is chaos, which isn't their fault, but if you're going to offer curbside, there should be a dedicated place for you to go - there's not. We got our order over 20 minutes after our pick-up time and the box was covered in something sticky that got all over the car. We get home only to find out NOT ONE of the cookies we selected was in the box. Apparently if they run out they just replace it with whatever else they have. You'd think at one point during the million texts or even while we were waiting outside, they'd give the option to change or cancel, or even notify us that it's something different. Out of our 4 pack, we ate barely more than one cookie. We got two of the same cookie we'd never order and another that we didn't like. Basically, there's no way of knowing if you'll actually get what you paid for. Being that they're so expensive, I just think that's unacceptable. I don't think...
