For those of us who have had the pleasure of spending time in Mexico or Southern California and have went to actual Birrierias, you will not find the authentic birria experience that you crave, For those of us who are trying birria for the first time and with very limited options in the DMV area you may be impressed with this mediocre experience. At authentic birrierias or food trucks that specialize in Birria, your birria dish will include consumme (may be the only item you will be upcharged), salsa, limon, cilantro + onion + radishes (generous portions or even self-serve bars). I have went to the Little Minor Taco truck two times and I was trying to give the benefit of doubt by giving them a second chance hoping that perhaps the first experience was a fluke. The first time I ordered quesabirria tacos I made the mistake of not checking my order until I came home. I received 3 quesabirria tacos and consumme but there was no salsa, limon, cilantro + onion + radishes. This second time I made sure that when I ordered I specified that I wanted everything that is included and I made sure to check my bag before I drove off. I did not receive limons and the consume cup was 1/3 filled ($3). I went back and gave my cup to the guy and said cmon man I tipped you guy $5 on top of the $30 I just spent. He did give me a full portion and filled up the cup but it wasn't until I got home that I realized that they didn't give me my son's rice and beans nor limons! These people are crooks and one should not have to fight for the condiments that typically come free with Birria. For this to happen 2/2 times is no coincidence, these cheap crooks make money by cutting corners and are completely fine with providing the bare minimum birria experience and do not feel bad about it. They would not last a weekend in LA against real authentic birria spots and competition and would be chased out of town for being fake imitations with predatory hospitality service that are not interested in treating their customers well or by providing the best experience. Unfortunately, they capitalize on ripping people off in the DMV area because the clients do not know any better nor have any options. I will not be returning and they have lost my business for good. Do not let them take advantage of you and make sure you double check your bag before...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI used to love eating at this restaurant. However, due to their extremely poor customer service in there unprofessional CEO and management. I wouldnāt recommend spending your money here. The irony in this is there are multiple health codes/ violations that take place in this establishment- which I simply avoided because I tried to support a small business. However, because of customer service, I guess all thatās out the window.
The food is inconsistent, thereās a lack of sanitation when it comes to cross contamination. The screens that you place order at counters are filthy and I cannot tell you how many times items have been missing.
I have had to contact the company multiple times and the only time someoneās gotten back to me is when they messed up and made a mistake and double charge me twice and wonder why my bank reverse the charge. Approximately two months later, they called me and asked me why I was a challenge and the charge. Of course I told them that you charge me twice⦠You wouldāve assumed this wouldāve been good enoughā¦. I told him that my bank resolve the issue after investigating⦠The guy hangs up and then about five minutes later calls back⦠Once again accusing me of Making a false dispute ⦠For $11?!
The CEO of the company gets on the phone, And sheās unbelievably rude and condescending.
I find this to be amazing because when I called about my orders being wrong multiple times in the past, no one has never called me back. This company is Nothing more than money hungry who doesnāt care anything about their customers.
There are way too many other options in this area including inside the same building that Miner taco is located-to spend your money here! DONT eat here
Do not be fooled by the reviews of 4.2 stars⦠If you understand the algorithm you understand that is truly not 4.2 stars.
I would not recommend eating at this place for no reason at all. The food is subpar at best-Completely over priced for Tex-mex⦠Most importantly, Extremely bad customer service, ethics and values
If youāre on the fence about going here this is your warning and your confirmation that you should not eat at this restaurant
And if you need further confirmation, Try to get in contact with anyone via email or phone I guarantee...
Ā Ā Ā Read more100% Not Worth It at all! Iāve been here three times, and each time, the quality of food got progressively worse. The birria tacos were dry and very thin. The taco shells were broken and oily. The prices are 3x what youād pay at an authentic Mexican restaurant and they give you way less food than any Mexican restaurant Iāve been to.
Not only was the food greasy and skimpy, but the entire structure is terribly inefficient. My last time going to the Brentwood location was a disaster. Thereās a 40min wait minimum which is manageable but when I got there, they told me someone else had called and cancelled my order for me. They didnāt ask this person any confirmation at all to verify that they were cancelling the order that they placed. All Little Miner asked this caller was their order number and they immediately cancelled the order. No name, card number, nothing. So beware, someone might call and randomly cancel your order. Or if youāre in the pranking mood, you could call and cancel everyoneās order if you want, apparently.
Not only is the Brentwood location bad, but the bethesda location is even worse. Drove 30min to get the Birria tacos and they ran out with several hours left until they close, and obviously there was no notice. I also think itās weird that the workers were standing around goofing off but they refuse to take orders for people walking in. I understand covid is a serious problem but there are ways to take an order while minimizing the risks of spreading covid. Seems lazy to me but thats just one of many concerns.
To sum up why you shouldnāt eat here: Low quality/dry food, extremely expensive, unethical practices, and long wait...
