The recreation center staff are lovely, super kind and all great energy. However, this park is all land and very little recreation for those that aren't members of the huge pool next to it. There's a tiny park composed of an elliptical for adults, bench press board, a gazebo, and some swings . . . a good start but not enough for an area overflowing with kids of all ages.
Teenagers should have their own spot ... maybe obstacle course that matches the age group, and the small kiddy playground that we have be extended for babies and...
Read moreThis park has a lot of memories for me. I've been playing there since my earliest memories. Although the playground has changed, the spirit of community is still alive and well. I had the honor of attending the ribbon cutting for the renaming and it was just as warm and loving as it always had been. The park is sprawling with baseball fields, football fields, tennis courts, community art, bike paths, and nature walks. There is a water park that adjoins it and it has a community building...
Read moreThe pool area is closed for the season. The playground area was clean, had a good amount of swings and unique play equipment that children seemed to love. There were several playing fields, fairly clean restrooms, and a very cute seating area dedicated to Jim Henson that had inspirational quotes from him engraved on the stone benches. There was construction close by someone informed me has led to less parking for this recreational area. Overall nice...
