Based on the reviews we thought we would try this place. Not to be harsh, but I have had a better greek salad with a pizza delivery. A whopping $15 I spent on a small tabbouleh and a greek salad which was this - iceberg lettuce, some diced tomatoes, some diced cucumbers, a few purple onion bits and 3 jarred pickle slices ( ? ) with a few VERY sparse bits of feta and certainly not nearly enough to give this salad any flavor. Dressing? Vinegar? Spices? No clue if anything else was on there. If it was, it had no flavor.
Have you ever had a sad salad on an airplane? This was in that league.
The tabbouleh was also exceptionally bland.
My pal got a salmon patty sandwich with fries and it clearly was pulled from the freezer and microwaved. Thrown on a hamburger bun all by it's lonesome. Just sitting there looking all beige and flat. Ugh.
They seem like nice folks and am all about supporting a local business. However, this was just really bland and kicked out like a manufacturing line. Not sure why they had a decent lunch crowd unless these were all new customers or people just don't know that this genre of food is actually supposed to look and taste appealing. My stomach was actually growling when I left this place because I could hardly get thru the food ..and that's not...
Read moreSooo here is the deal.. For the price not enough food.. I purchased 2 plates and they were $25.. Which if it was enough food I would be ok.. The bed of rice was small and not enough meat so where is the give there..?? Im possibly spoiled because my step mother is from Chicago and she took me to a gyro place which was to die for and this place was not it..
They don't even have a homemade ranch.. They give you Marzetti ranch in a pack.. That is ranch for chicken in my eyes..
They place some type of dressing on the little bit of salad they do give you and they never asked if I wanted any additional toppings (black olives.. Onions.. Etc). The humms was ok which gave me something to dip my pita in but that pita might as well had been 1 piece of bread from a bag because that is how small it was..
The people were nice but the food is not something I would eat twice.. Call me greedy and picky but try it for yourself please.. Im just one person speaking from my experience compared to other experiences..
Oh and they only got 2 starts because the meat was not diced like onions and the humms comes...
Read moreI'm going to assume it was the owner that greeted us as we came in. He was considerate, polite and attentive. I have it on good authority that all Greek restaurants are Mediterranean but not all Mediterranean are Greek and that all Greek establishments will make sure it is advertised as Greek. I think this one is Lebanese.
We ordered two dishes: The Sampler and Falafel platter. OH. EM. GEE. Everything on the sample platter tasted like it was made by my old Lebanese neighbors in their kitchen and served with love. Hummus was so tasty and the texture was perfect. The spinach pie had such savory filling and the pastry was perfect.
The falafel was good, but when compared to the items on the sampler, it was not the shining star.
We had the baklava for dessert and it was also perfection. Not too sweet, pastry was flaky and light.
I absolutely recommend to anyone that has a persuasion for Mediterranean food. Did...
