I recently stayed at this hotel for a three-night weekend getaway with friends, and unfortunately, the experience was far from what I had hoped for. As a loyal Marriott Bonvoy member, I frequently choose Marriott hotels, especially newer properties. Unfortunately, this hotel, built in 2020, had the poorest maintenance upkeep I've ever encountered in the brand.
Room 238: A Rough Start
Upon checking into room 238, I quickly noticed the floor was dirty, the area rug had food remnants, and the shower had hair on the floor and the handheld shower handle. It was evident that the room had not been adequately cleaned. I immediately informed the front desk, and they offered to either clean the room or change my room. Assuming the room would be cleaned during my dinner outing, I was surprised and disappointed to find that nothing had been done upon my return. The front desk informed me that the cleaning staff had left for the day, leaving me no choice but to switch rooms late at night.
Room 241: A Smoky Surprise
I was moved to room 241, which I later found out was a handicapped-accessible room—something I was not informed about. As an asthmatic, the most concerning issue was that the room, including the pillows, was saturated with smoke. It was incredibly difficult to sleep, and I spent the night uncomfortable and anxious. To make matters worse, I felt as though something was crawling on me throughout the night. At daybreak, I discovered ants everywhere, from the floor to the countertops. This was utterly unacceptable. I brought the issue to the attention of a cleaning staff member, who promptly reported it to the front desk. They moved me to yet another room.
Room 245: No Relief
Room 245 was my third and final room. However, the issues did not end there. I discovered that the room had no hot water, even after running it for 10 minutes. This lack of hot water was a recurring issue in all three rooms I stayed in. To add insult to injury, the shower in this room also had mildew.
Common Areas and Management Response
The disappointment extended beyond the rooms. The lobby and common areas were dirty, starkly contrasting the high standards I expect from Marriott properties. Despite informing management of these issues, I never received any follow-up or acknowledgment from them, which was profoundly disheartening as a loyal member of the Marriott Bonvoy program.
Final Thoughts
This series of unfortunate events made what should have been a relaxing weekend getaway into a stressful ordeal. The cleanliness and maintenance issues were overwhelming, and the pervasive smoke smell made it difficult for me to breathe, given my asthma.
I urge management to address these issues immediately, as they significantly impact the guest experience. Proper cleaning protocols, maintenance checks, and smoke-free environments are fundamental aspects of hospitality that this hotel desperately needs to improve upon.
This experience has left me extremely dissatisfied, and I hope that future guests do not have to endure the same level...
Read moreFrom the very outset of my stay at the AC Hotel Nashville Brentwood, it was clear that this would be an unparalleled experience in hospitality. The check-in process was nothing short of seamless, with a courteous and attentive staff eager to ensure my stay was perfect from start to finish. Their insider knowledge was greatly appreciated, as their dining recommendations led me to some delightful local eateries. Del Frisco’s served a remarkable meal, while Mooyah Burgers offered an exceptional twist on the classic American burger. And for those with a sweet tooth, I highly recommend a trip to Jeni’s Ice Cream.
Location-wise, this hotel is situated perfectly. Located right in the heart of the Hill Center on Maryland Way, it boasts proximity to a range of must-visit sites. From the serene beauty of Maryland Way Park, which is just across the street, to the historical magnificence of Belle Meade Historic Site, there's something for everyone. I also took a leisurely stroll to Crockett Park and paid a visit to Dyer Observatory, which were mere minutes away, solidifying the hotel's place as a hub for both relaxation and exploration.
One of the standout features of the AC Hotel Nashville Brentwood is undeniably its commitment to merging European sophistication with the traditional warmth of Tennessee. This was particularly evident in their breakfast offering. The European-inspired spread was the ideal way to start the day, blending continental classics with the hearty favorites one expects in the heart of Tennessee.
The evenings brought their own magic. The AC Lounge, perched on the top floor, offers a mesmerizing view, best enjoyed with one of their expertly crafted signature cocktails in hand. The atmosphere is further elevated with the tantalizing array of tapas, making it the perfect spot to wind down or gear up for a night out.
Every detail of the guest rooms screams luxury and attention to detail. The floor-to-ceiling windows flood the room with natural light, accentuating the sleek hardwood floors and modern essentials, ensuring every stay is as comfortable as it is stylish.
In closing, the AC Hotel Nashville Brentwood isn’t just a place to rest your head; it's a holistic experience. Its prime location combined with unparalleled service and luxurious amenities makes it the perfect gateway to explore both Brentwood and the pulsing heart of Music City, a short drive away. Highly recommended for travelers seeking an upscale stay with a touch of European flair....
Read moreOur stay at the AC Hotel in Brentwood, Tennessee, was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. The concept of room cleanliness at this establishment is utterly non-existent. Despite our complaints, we were informed that they do not provide daily room service but merely "tidy" the rooms. In practice, this meant our room was either not serviced on some days or poorly serviced on others, and when they were, the floors were swept into the hallway, with the debris left there for days.||Another major problem was the overcharging issue. We stayed for a week, which supposedly entitled us to an extended stay rate, yet we were charged different rates every day. When we brought this to the staff's attention, they claimed they had no way to adjust the rate. This is utterly unacceptable and shows a complete lack of customer service and management competence.||Our complaints to Demetrius Patterson, the so-called General Manager, were met with indifference and excuses. He suggested we should have made the reservation directly through the hotel rather than the Marriott reservation center. Ironically, when we initially contacted the hotel to make the reservation, they transferred us to the reservation center. Throughout most of our stay, Mr. Patterson was conspicuously absent, coming in late and leaving early. Despite multiple requests to speak with him, we were constantly told he was not working and could not be reached.||The front desk was equally chaotic. With only one person working, every call to the desk was met with "please hold," followed by an interminable wait. When we finally went down to the front desk in person, the staff member unapologetically told us she was too busy checking people in to handle calls. This level of service is unacceptable, especially for a hotel billing itself as a boutique establishment.||To top it all off, the rooms were far from clean and seemed to have been decorated by IKEA on a bad day. This place lacks every characteristic of a true boutique hotel, failing miserably in both service and ambiance.||In summary, the AC Hotel in Brentwood is a disgrace to the Marriott brand and should be avoided at all costs. Our stay was marred by poor service, overcharging, and a complete lack of cleanliness. Save yourself the headache and...
