I arrived at approximately 4:45 PM on a Sunday evening to pick up a quick dinner. Ordered several small items, one kids meal, a five piece and a three piece chicken strip, and one hotlink sandwich. At the 50 minute mark I went to the counter to inquire about the food. The girl at the counter said that it was just being boxed up. I had a one year old and a two year old with me that were being incredibly patient, but growing more and more anxious. Our food arrived a few minutes later, at nearly an hour wait, and we opted to eat in the building since we had originally want take out to go to the park, but now it was nearly 6 PM and dark.
The food was such a disappointment. Upside was all of it was incredibly hot, but that tells me that they had gotten so slammed leading up to the hour that I was there that they couldn’t even start our food. A heads up when we ordered would’ve been very nice. Considering they must’ve been online orders or phone orders because there was hardly anyone walking in to make an order at the counter. The kids meal was split between my toddlers, and their chicken was so stringy and chewy neither one would eat it. My teens had chicken strips as well, and the outside was sloughing off in chunks, not at all appetizing. My hot link smelled really strongly of burnt meat. The experience was so disappointing and the wait time was just insane.
One more thing that frustrates me is on the POS system it asks for a tip, which is consistent now with most dining places. So here I tipped for an experience I was disappointed with, but since you put the tip preemptively, there’s no way to take it back. The girl at the front was really kind through this whole experience and offered a free slice of cake but at that point we just wanted our dinner. My teens and I won’t be going back,...
Read moreI used to really like going to this place but lately the service/food has been terrible! They take a long time to make your food. I went there yesterday and waited 35 minutes to get my food and there was no one in there but my partner and I. Usually I don’t mind the wait if the food is good. Then was presented with one plate of food and then the other one didn’t come out till 10 more minutes later for my partner. When inspecting the food I noticed the pork was mostly fat and not piping hot, the bun was soggy and the barbecue sauce didn’t cover all the pork. (ordered the pork sandwich) plus they gave me only a little bit of fries. I get it’s an 8 dollar lunch special but why skim on the overly salty fries. Then the burger came out. Which looked pretty good for the price but not for the wait. It was just a burger. Which was more than the lunch special. Anyways we are not gonna be coming here if we are walking around downtown. I would choose a different place to eat barbecue or...
Read moreI came in last Monday but the service was so bad I decided to write a review.
I use to go to the lone tree location with my girlfriend very often and to the smaller location on A street during my lunch breaks. I was disappointed when I thought they were closed down. When I heard they relocated I made sure to make the trip to downtown Brentwood. When I walked in I had no idea where to go. I was not greeted or acknowledged by anyone. The owner and employee carried on in conversation and an employee at the front could not be bothered to look up from her phone. After a while an employee from the bar noticed we were confused and said hello. When we asked where we were supposed to go the emploher finally got off her phone a rudely exclaimed that "she was standing right there," how we were supposed to know where to order is beyond me. Food was okay, but the service is terrible. Never coming back and never recommending to...
