The variety of food chosen by our party of 6 was delicious for everyone! However, one of us kept waiting for their pizza. The 2 salads on the same ticket had already been delivered and eaten. The server kept looking at us looking at her but never stopped to ask us if we needed anything. After about 45 minutes of giving them the benefit of the doubt we called her over and told her we never received the pizza. She goes to check on it. The order didn't go through but she put it in and advised us that she had made the manager aware and he would be over shortly. As all the rest of us had finished our meal we began noticing that most of the people that came in after us had received their food, eaten, and left. Finally, after an hour and 10 minutes, the pizza is delivered by a man that had been in the back. The server comes over after he quickly and quietly sat it on our table and asked if it was as ordered and if everything is ok. We meekly agreed. We had half of our party have to leave so we did not get to enjoy our meals together. The pizza was very good, as was all of our food. The pizza is finished and we are still waiting on the manager to come over. We cleaned off our table, sat back down, and waited. After 1 1/2 hours we decided to just leave, but the one that ordered the pizza went up front and asked our server to speak to the manager. She apologizes thinking he had already talked with us. Come to find out the manager was the same man that delivered our pizza to us earlier who said nothing at the time. Anyway, her meal price was refunded, as it should have been, and she was told they got slammed, which they did, but still. Even if they are terribly busy waiting over an hour and a half for a pizza really bummed our day. We will go back, as the food was especially good, but after 10 or 15 minutes of waiting for our food we will start asking questions. My advice is... do not wait as long as we did because your order may...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent for lunch today (a Thursday) around 130pm. Not too busy, but enough busy that you figure the food is good (also it smelled really good when we walked by in the morning!). Boyfriend and I split a sweet potato and kale pizza with balsamic drizzle, roasted walnuts, goat cheese and we added some local sausage to savory it up. The quality of the pizza dough/crust is so thin, so light, that you use your hand to support the pizza. It's delicious, and when I finished half of the pizza I didn't feel bloated or sinful at all. Fast forward to dinner time, around 6pm. Do we dare to have another pizza?? Heck yes we do!! This time we tried the hot honey pizza with added goat cheese. Worth it!! Recommend the drycider to drink with it's crisp apple coolness to go with the hot honey pizza. It's not too hot, and the lemon zest is surprisingly appropriate. Prices are not too high if you are splitting the pizza with someone else.... $20 for the hot honey pizza, $18 for the sweet potato and kale (added meat and cheese cost around $3 to $4) compared to the prices at Papa John's, and the ingredients are all or at least mostly local (veggies, meat, cheese, honey, even the cider!). So two pizzas and an alcoholic cider later, and I am a fan! All the people that worked there were kind and knowledgeable. We sat outside on the covered patio on a cloudy, drizzly, late spring day in the mountains. Nice music playing in the evening. Little bit of road noise, but that just comes with sitting outside in town. Definitely want to come back when we are in the Pisgah...

It was opened only a few weeks before we ate there and the parking was scarce but the next day the expanded lot was opened. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The atmosphere is fantastic, cozy and what you would expect in a coffee/bake-goods shop.
As of Nov 2023, they are still trying to get the kinks worked out but overall itās a great place to eat.
Some issues are that when you order a pizza or sandwich to eat in, they give it to you in a to-go boxes/cartons. It makes eating it awkward and you have to throw boxes away instead of washing plates. The pizza itself, Margarita with olives in my case, tasted amazing. The flavor was fantastic. The bad, the edge crust was great but the undercarriage was wet and paper thin. Specifically, like two pieces of contraction paper thin. There was no way to pick up a slice, it had to be eaten with a knife and fork from the delivery box while eating inside of the restaurant. Not a great dining experience but a great tasting pizza.
My wife got the Vege Sandwich on sourdough and other than it being delivered in a box, she loved it and said it tasted great! We got ginger molasses, oatmeal raisin and carrot cake for desert (some we took to go for later) and all were great. I think they will get some of the issues worked out as time goes on but overall, this will be a huge success, just like Corkeyās...
