An Incredible Outdoor Taco Haven!
My recent visit to Picos Taco Shack left me utterly impressed and yearning for more! The moment I arrived, I was greeted by the picturesque outdoor setup that simply oozed charm and coziness. Nestled amidst nature, dining outside at Picos Taco Shack was a breath of fresh air, literally and figuratively.
The star of the show, the Ribeye Tacos, were nothing short of a revelation! Each bite of the perfectly cooked ribeye, adorned with Cowboy butter, was a burst of succulent flavors that left my taste buds dancing with joy. The combination of guacamole, pico de gallo, and that delightful house-smoked chimichurri aioli, all wrapped in a soft tortilla, was a culinary masterpiece. The addition of cotija cheese provided the perfect finishing touch, adding that hint of saltiness to the already tantalizing blend of tastes.
What truly sets Picos Taco Shack apart is the incredible outdoor dining experience they offer. The ambiance was simply enchanting; surrounded by nature's beauty, it offered the perfect setting to enjoy a fantastic meal under the open sky.
The staff at Picos Taco Shack were not only attentive and friendly, but they also ensured that the service was seamless and efficient despite the outdoor setup. Their passion for the food they served was evident, as they were eager to share insights about the menu and accommodate any dietary preferences.
Overall, Picos Taco Shack is an outdoor taco haven that deserves a solid 5 out of 5 stars. From the exceptional Ribeye Tacos to the enchanting outdoor setting, it's a place that promises an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you're a taco enthusiast or simply looking for a delightful place to enjoy good food and nature's embrace, Picos Taco Shack is an...
Read moreExpensive for a Taco Shack!! Over $100 for four people. Yes, I know it’s the Cape, I live here but these prices are crazy for the quality.
We thought we’d try this new taco place. To begin with, although there were people standing behind the counter not doing anything, we still had to put our order in on the screen in front of us. My auntie is old and she was struggling, but that didn’t seem to matter. I ordered the chicken tacos, they were plain and the chicken was rather dry. A friend got the pork tacos and she said those were pretty good but not for $18. The others got the fish tacos which were also bland. We got the Mexican rice, which was pretty good. The black beans which were too salty. And the guacamole which was pretty good. The flour tortillas were chewy, and the food was not hot. They waste a big paper bag, the size of a grocery bag, to put your food in (even if it’s just one small box) so you can take it 15 feet to your table. Seems like a waste of paper, and even though we asked for it without the big bag we got it anyway. (There was a growing pile of these wasted bags near the trash receptacle). Nice shady deck to eat on was the saving grace. We...
Read moreFirst visit. Small little shed, really. I think my living room is bigger. Parties of 4, 5, 6 in line with and without kids. Obvious tourists. Meh. Ordered a pork burrito without guac (I hate guac and dont understand the fascination with avocado at all) and without black beans. They dont have refried. Added corn. They forgot the pico i guess. Decent sized, but nothing that would make me come back. The chips were tastless and the salsa was runny with no chunk. I also ordered Mexican street corn which was tasty, but i prefer fresh or frozen corn, and I expected something less watery, as I've experienced at other spots, and it didnt look like the pics on their menu. I should have asked. To finish things off, I got a frozen white peach margarita, which was just my speed. It was the most enjoyable part of my order. $45 later, it was an expensive experience. Their wi-fi sucks, so i couldnt tap and didnt want to spend 20 minutes figuring it out. I paid cash with a $5+ tip. Won't be back. Not worth the $50. You live, you learn. So sad it was too late to go to the Corner...
