Charlie's Farm Market, Cafe and Bakery — Restaurant in Brick Township

We went here for breakfast. The staff seemed rather uninterested. We ordered our food for consumption at a table there. A large paper bag was given to us full of disposable and prepackaged (but freshly made) food. So - rather oddly - we sat a few feet away from the counter and unpacked our food to eat. Unfortunately, my son's pancakes had strands of 'hair' in them! And my toast was the wrong kind. We managed to finish our food (minus the cake with hair) and I discreetly mentioned to the staff member about the hair and the toast. She again was uninterested and asked casually if I want them to make another batch of pancakes, to which I said no. I waited to see if a manager may want to provide an apology or say anything. Alas that wasn't to be! So we left and never went back there. There are way too many great eating places within walking distance for one to compromise...

I have to say I agree with other reviews and can only blame management that does not know how to train employees. The food and coffee were fine except for the milk was partially frozen with ice coming out into my coffee.

The real problem is the staff training. The workers at the front act as if you’re bothering them to take their order. Most counter service restaurants have an inviting feel when you walk in, but the last 3 times I have went there always is a feeling that they are miserable or unhappy to be there. As a manger there should be a set way that guests are greeted and helped. It’s restaurant management 101. Not coming back even though it’s 2 blocks away. I would rather drive...

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

I never leave reviews - however, I am very disappointed at the moment. I just placed a takeout order that was incorrect upon arrival. The caesar salad I requested for the dressing on the side was smothered in dressing, the buffalo chicken salad was made as a wrap and the chicken quesadilla only had cheese. I didn't realize the quesadilla only had cheese until I got home. When they remade the Caesar salad they literally put 4 croutons on top of a handful of lettuce which I paid $9.50 for. I didn't say anything because honestly at that point I was over it.

Also, once I got home I realized they charged me twice for a small cheesecake with fruit.
