dined in on 5/28 for a table of about 9 people. made a reservation for 8pm, we did not receive our food until 10:30pm. I'll give it two stars because I have enjoyed this restaurant multiple times before and the food is tasty- but I would never expect to wait this long for a meal.. although the owner thinks a 2hr wait for food is acceptable. we will never be going back, considering the wait and disrespect from the owner. I had bragged to my family about this place, so I took them on a holiday weekend w/ a reservation. first- the clams are delicious- but the portion was half it's normal. quite disappointing. Next, after waiting 2hrs for our meals, a steak was overcooked and a hair found in the risotto. Lastly, I ordered the "grilled" octopus which came out Luke warm, not grilled, in a bed of oil. When I asked to speak to the person in charge, it took 20 minutes for a woman to come to our table and state, "who would like to talk to me? I've been busy in the kitchen". I then raised my hand and stated I was the one who would like to speak to her. now, I had all intentions of giving constructive criticism (because I have enjoyed this place before), but unfortunately the owner came toward me very defensively. Again, stating a 2hr wait is to be expected and normal, she also said we should have canceled the table and left. (mind you my family from our of state was here catching up at 10pm on a Saturday night, no where else would have been able to accommodate this many people short notice.). She took my meal off the bill and gave us a bottle of sangria- not sure that balances out my $500+ bill and 2+ hrs of my life wasted. I just wanted to let the public know, if you go here, expect a longer than usual wait. Sadly, I am extremely turned off by the way the owner handled herself, it was the icing on the cake for me. I will be sharing on all platforms so the public is aware of what they are dealing with. Read back through all the comments, I wish I had before ever going here. There is a trend with unhappy guests due to unusually long wait times and...

Me and my girlfriend were really looking forward to trying this place because we've heard so many great things. Unfortunately, we wont be going back. We were seated and then a few minutes later a waitress came to give us the menu and take our drink orders, then a different waitress came to take our order but we needed another few minutes, then after a few minutes a different waitress came to take our appetizer order. After that a different waitress came and took one of our entree orders, and finally one of the previous waitresses came to take the other entree order. Yes, we had 4 different people take our orders, which isn't too bad especially on a busy night. But it was really hard to get someones attention, it honestly felt like no one wanted to talk to us and were ignoring us. Honestly, it was weird. After we finished with our starters, only one of our entrees came out. My girlfriends order was ever put through and Im not sure who is responsible since we literally had multiple waitresses. Anyways my dish got cold by the time her food came out and I asked for another order since mine got cold, I didn't even touch it. She took my plate to the back and Im almost positive they just microwaved it or something because my medium rare steak, was now well done. At this point were two and a half hours into our dinner. I told the waitress I just didn't want it anymore and I ordered something else off the menu and took it to go. I spent about 3 hours just waiting. The starter soup I ordered was very good and the final waitress we had was polite. Other tables around us had no issues at all and got their food before we did. I don't know what happened that made it so difficult...

I would like to start by saying that I have never in my life encounter an owner who so unprofessional, disrespectful, unorganized and the way she attends her clients is absurd. Disrespectful to me as a veteran. As I respected her and stood very professional. I will never ever plan an event there in my life on how rude and disrespectful she was with my fiancé and me, having a wedding celebration already reserved 1 month ahead of time turning into a cancellation 2 weeks before the wedding day. As the day was approaching I needed to get a call back from Maria (the owner), to get a set price on how much the decorations will cost. and in detail of what is costing what , that leads to 750$. After being on the phone with her professionally , she starts giving me an attitude on the phone, when simply asked “ can you please tell me what is being purchased for the decorations or if she’s using her decorations, and how much the decorations labor will cost, telling me that I’m being complicated, when I just asked a simple question on what is costing 750$ in detail. Not any client will just throw 750$ just like that because she just comes up with a number, she expects me to just agree with the cost and not question it ?. And hangs up the phone on me.Once again I did not have a great experience what so ever with this person. And to make things worst after doing all the planning for the wedding. she considered me not a client. That what she said on text. And that’s the way she acts , she acts like that with all her clients? This is Unacceptable. If you do decided to do an event there. Make sure you have...

It's a beautiful restaurant, very simple but unique decor. Although very quickly, everything started derailing. I asked the waitress if we could sit at a more private table because we were taken to a table 3 feet from the entrance door, and the answer was a very stiff NO! The restaurant is huge, so I'm not sure why they couldn't even try to accommodate us. The flamed chorizo was good. The juices are not made from fresh fruit, they probably are store bought juices with ice. We ordered Bife à portuguesa and short ribs. The presentation of the ribs was great, the other dish, all you saw was potato chips, nothing else! Very bad presentation. While we were waiting, the table next to us sent some of their food back, I guess they were having problems with it, too. The egg on my steak tasted like oil that was used over and over again. The ribs were supposed to be cooked medium, half was rare, and the other half was medium. The desserts, pana cota was okay, baba de Camelo totally not how we make it in Portugal, at all. I had to send it back. There were peanuts on the bottom, middle, and top. It felt like it was a peanut butter dessert. Total disappointment. I did tell the waitress about my concerns, and my dessert was taken out of the bill. I'm Portuguese, i cook very well and know my culture and the flavors of our food. Its just sad that they set themselves up for failure. Parking is terrible. Will not comeback, unfortunately!

Loves the food and drinks here...my husband and I had a couple tapas and split a meal so we could try a little of everything and it didn’t disappoint...my fav was the bread olives and the tuna pate they give as a start...so good to drink I had a caphrina, my husband had piña colada, and I also tried the red sangria but I wasn’t really impressed with it, it needed a little bit more sweetness Some of the tapas we had were the whitefish croquettes just ok but good size, the calamari which was tasty, and our absolute fave was this dish (sorry forgot the name) with chickpeas and sausage in a red wine garlic sauce AH-MAZING!!!! For our meal we had just chicken in garlic sauce it was good but need a bit more of the garlic sauce Dessert was good I don’t remember the name though All in all it was a good experience I think they make most of their dishes very fresh so that may account for some of the time it takes but the bread and tapas and drinks flow fairly quickly so it makes up for the time it takes for the meal

We arrived around 6pm on a Saturday. The main room has nice decor. There was one large party we saw, but the main area only had one table sat. When they sat us we asked for a different table because it wasn't level and right by the door but was told no. I ordered short ribs med, but one of them came out pretty rare. My wife is Portuguese so when we go to a Portuguese restaurant or bakey she expects authentic Portuguese food that she grew up on. She ordered Bife à Portuguesa. She said the egg tasted like it was fried in old oil, and there so many chips you couldn't see the meat. For dessert she got a Baba de Camelo. She didn't eat it because it was full of pecan or walnuts. She didn't expect it to be that was because it's normally only has a few for decoration. Our waitress was good, but I felt bad for her because the other table also returned 2 items because they said it wasn't prepared correctly. Over all the price doesn't meet the quality or authenticity of Portuguese food.
