KiDelicia Bakery & Deli — Restaurant in Bridgeport

I really like this bakery and often buy several products here, including one specific item that I know is usually only baked in the morning. Recently, a staff member informed me that this product is also available frozen, so today I went in the afternoon to purchase it that way.

I explained to the attendant that I knew it wouldn’t be ready, but that I wanted the frozen version to bake at home. At that moment, another employee—who wasn’t even the one helping me—interrupted and said they didn’t have it. I politely responded that I understood and just wanted it frozen. She initially said she would check, but then returned and told me that because of my “arrogance,” she wouldn’t go look for it. On top of that, she began making comments to other customers about me, trying to make me uncomfortable.

I want to make it clear that I did not treat anyone disrespectfully; I simply asked for my order. It’s important to keep personal issues out of the workplace. Yesterday my significant other and I went here to get Coxinhas because we saw a great review from tik tok. Around 30 minutes after we ate them my significant other started complaining about stomach pain. And after 45 minutes he was violently throwing up, having explosive diarrhea, lost all color in his face and his strength was gone as well. It’s 5:31 the next day and he is still feeling these symptoms. He has a strong immune system so we know it was most definitely the Coxinhas from this place. I believe the food was old and not prepared correctly. There is no excuse for any restaurant to be producing such horrible quality food. Beware...

I love this place best Brazilian bakery in Bridgeport. Everything tastes and smells amazing. Food is made fresh daily. If there is something that is out they will make it for you. The cakes are to die for people with a sweet tooth. The employees are super nice, but they speak very little English so take your time and they will get for you.
