Don’t expect your normal Brazilian steakhouse. I was looking forward to eating here as it was my anniversary and my dads birthday. The other Brazilian restaurant we usually go to in new haven closed permanently and the others were too far. WARNING: This is a full self service restaurant. This is NOT your ordinary Brazilian steakhouse where someone seats you, brings you drinks, utensils and Brazilian cheese bread. We walked in with baby in arm and the staff just stared at us. I finally asked one of the waiters/staff if we can sit and she finally told us yes you can sit anywhere and take your plate and serve yourself. I should’ve walked out based on that but I decided to give it a try. I was furious when my husband, with our baby in his arm, had to grab the high chair from the front of the restaurant because there are no servers or waiters and they simply wouldn’t do it for us. Do not go do not recommend if you are use to the nyc style of Brazilian steakhouses. Toro in new haven was the best but unfortunately it closed firing...
Read moreWhat a great experience at this location. We were greeted right at the door, we had reservations for a birthday and they sat us right away. Our waiter was Miles and he went over everything. Some people feel the whole experience which is all meat and salad bar is too expensive or just too much for a small appetite. Miles went over everything and even mentioned the August special which was the salad bar and most the meat but not all for about $39. I went for that lol and they gave us pretty much all the meat, the garlic sirloin was to die for.
The salad bar has everything you can imagine from vegetables, to meats, to fruits and rice and beans. There is no way you won't get full over here and everything is so delicious. Once done John David came over to our table and asked us how everything was.. He mentioned for the dessert to try the Brazilian flan. Let me say this is the best flan I have ever had in my life. It was really thick and the taste was just amazing. This is definitely a...
Read moreMy first trip today. Greeted by staff on arrival. Guided through the process. Informed of tags describing items in buffet. Everything nicely presented. Slight disappointment that the items were cold or possibly lukewarm when I would have expected they'd be hot. Meat cutter was skillful and cuts quickly. I would have preferred a bit less of the first variety he selected. I grabbed some bacon chicken next. Then I asked what else he had and he mentioned brisket. I didn't get to try the churrascara or picante meats. I had too much on my plate. The food was good. The meat was not as hot as I would have liked, but there was no real way to reheat it that I could see. So, while we enjoyed our meals and I believe the price was reasonable, I wasn't knocked out by it. It fell a bit short of expectations. Next time, I'll skip right to the meat section and get the churrascara and picante right off the bat. We...
