Food was decent but had to wait over 20 mins for a standard breakfast sandwich. I was the only customer in the establishment the whole time and was on my lunch break. During my wait The only people who came in were two Uber eats delivery drivers. I watched as they were told their order would be out in "2 mins". After well over 5 mins the drivers would kindly inquire about the orders, only to be given the same 2 min response in an aggravated manner. One of the drivers explained that they were double parked (There's no parking provided for this place and it's on a very busy street) and needed to move their car, making it difficult and less worth coming back in. And as the owner walked to the back he said in the most dismissive tone "that's your choice we'll just call another delivery driver." Those drivers sat there for no reason, made no money, and likely missed out on other opportunities simply bc they trusted what the owner repetitively told them. The uncalled for dismissiveness and lack of respect displayed in those moments was enough to make me never want to go back. But in addition, I was also treated like a burden for politely stating I was on my lunch break and would now need my order (one bacon egg and cheese) wrapped up as I no longer had time to eat there.
I worked in the service industry for a very long time. I realize things happen and something consuming couldve been going on in the back, or anywhere for that matter, that I had no clue about. You still need to be honest with your customers, and meet them with at least the very basic levels of kindness and decency. If that's how you treat the people that help your business thrive, you surely won't be seeing me or anyone I know...
Read moreWhat a hidden gem! My mom and I stopped by to sit down and have a meal once we saw online that they offered “pollo con tajadas. 12/10! WOW WOW WOW! My mom got the “pollo con tajadas” and I got the “chuleta con tajadas.” They’re essentially the same except the choice of protein. My pork chop was perfectly cooked, not dry, well seasoned and loaded with goodness. Cabbage salad, tomato pico de gallo, cheese, sliced fried plantains, and sauces. This traditional dish is hard to find and surpassed my expectations in the flavor. The portions were also massive and reasonably priced. The customer service was on point. The owner came by to take our order and was very friendly. The menu has so many options as well so it’s a good option to feed picky eaters. The coffee is self serve which we didn’t mind at all and they also had a high chair for my baby. Other customers that were eating highly recommend the carne asada & beef soup. Amazing experience all around. PS: They also deliver with no order minimum, life saver for when you’re too busy or lazy to cook dinner. You’ve got yourself a regular...
