This is the place that gives people a reason to hate coffee and I love coffee. P.S. I tried finding the Coffeebus side of their gig to leave a review for that but, this will do.
I get to the counter and receive a beautiful stare down complete with silence. I mean, who even needs a, āHey, good morning! What can I get you?ā anymore in life anyways? Besides, I love initiating server-customer convos. Itās the best.
Sooo, I order a cold brew coffee light and sweet. The personal usual I get from pretty much everywhere. Instead, I get an unoriginal cup of [by the taste, Iām assuming itās either] Chameleon or Califa coffee, which Iām not the biggest fan of & admittedly I could be wrong in which case, whatever brand they do use kind of sucks and tastes just like those two. Just... the coffee was a genuine disappointment because at the end of the day there are dozens of better brands to choose, you can go to Big Y and get a whole jug for a couple bucks more, and make about 8 slamming cups yourself instead of one lousy one.
Price was laughable for the product. If Iām treating myself to a $5 cup of coffee, I want to be impressed. Instead I get some 2/10 and an overcharge (Iāve investigated a little & see that via the website).
I didnāt get a full cup of coffee, I got a 3/4.
Because there are no sizes provided I assumed Iād get, at the very least, a medium, instead I get something short of a āgrandeā size (for visuals).
I was thrown shade when the coffee came to me not light and sweet but watery and black. When I said it wasnāt what I asked for, the girl pointed at the packaged sugar and creamer and goes āOh, itās over there you can do it.ā Except, any respectable coffee joint knows that one, make the coffee like itās asked, and two, granulated sugar will not dissolve in cold coffee. So I ask for liquid sugar. She hesitated as if shocked I knew what that was, then dodged behind the window and came back with āAll I have is vanilla.ā Then as Iām dripping it in to make it the desired taste, I KID YOU NOT(!) she snatches it away and hides it. And Iām standing there like āHaha, ah... excuse me?ā which I hoped my eyes could relay as I watched her nervously looking everywhere else.
Just stick to Starbucks for a coffee of this price, youāll be happier. I know a damn good cup of coffee when I taste it but above all else: service means everything. I think a lot of people forget how important that is these days. This place flunked on both. Get better management for the bus or return the loan, jeez. Sure, Iād have you at my wedding, if I hated all the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStrap in folks, because youāre about to have some of the best coffee in the area! Sound Coffee started at a different location and expanded to what was Source Coffee (when the old owners decided to retire and go live on a farm raising chickens or sheep or crypto). Hereās the cool part: the new owner, Jeff, KEPT THE OLD STAFF. Thatās right, the upbeat attitude (Esther), smiling face (Hanna), witty banter (Sindy), and phenomenal barista skill are still there. Some remodeling has been also been done and if you havenāt been in since then, you owe it to yourself to check it out. It almost feels like a jazz club but without the pretention. (Iām still going to rock a beret in there, though.) The coffee quality is solid. Mostly because their roaster, Jovanny, is in-house and has trained how to roast. I donāt know where roasters go to learn this, so I like to imagine itās some weird cross between a martial arts temple and physics lab. Think Marvelās āDoctor Strangeā ā¦because this coffee is fricking magical! But like most things we thought were magic, itās science. Time, temp, etc. Whatever it is that makes this so good, Jovanny has got the skill. Just try one of the house roasts and youāll see. Okay, so magic beans aside, there is an expansion of flavor offerings. Syrups sure, but the specialties are awesome. An iced tiramisu latte with cold foam? Whoever came up with this went and decided my summer drink for me and I couldnāt be happier. This place is amazing. Itās my regular stop before work, and itās a great place to get work done if you need to sit down, study, work, journal, read, or just enjoy a great...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI absolutely love this coffee shop! From the moment you walk in, the cozy atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The staff are incredibly friendly and always greet you with a smile, making every visit a pleasant experience. Their coffee is consistently fresh and expertly roasted by their certified roaster at their Main street location ā Iām a big fan of their rich espresso and perfectly balanced lattes. What really sets them apart, though, are their seasonal drinks. Every time I visit, thereās a new creative flavor that perfectly captures the spirit of the season or holiday, whether itās a ābasicā pumpkin spice latte or a refreshing iced berry blend in the summer. Plus, the variety of pastries and snacks are delicious and pair perfectly with the drinks. Whether Iām catching up with friends or just need a quiet spot to work, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality coffee and a...
