Sounds coffee (new second location on Fairfield Ave in Bridgeport) was a great spot to stop into! They sell their coffee (in house roasted at their other location) and offer a variety of small bites and quality coffee. They have a seasonal menu that is delicious and a great general menu offering. They offer indoor/outdoor seating for working, meeting up with friends or to grab coffee on the go. They also offer a mobile cart over at the Bridgeport Amphitheater and other events. The staff and owner are extremely friendly and we love that they focus a lot around sustainability at their cafe to continue to help make a positive difference on the planet.

We had a unique, sweet, and delicious seasonal spring Sakura hot latte and, in the words of my wife, the best vanilla latte she's ever had at this small but comfy coffee house. The staff was helpful and the drink made quickly. Both drinks were perfect temperature, topped with great foam texture and art. They have stellar WiFi speeds here so a great place to grab a good latte and get some work done (definitely try their house made syrups and check out the seasonal menu). All in all, a solid spot that I'll certainly return to for their seasonal specials or even just to work for a while. Definitely recommend!

Simple & good coffee :) One of the few small local coffee shops I’ve been too in CT that makes their own cold foam. Which is hard to find. Some of the cold foam flavors are : Vanilla , Mocha , Honey , Lavender, etc. very unique stuff ! And it taste like smooth foamy icecream . The house made fresh cold foam is vegan. Now as of summer 2025 since my last summer they have changed ownership from former - Source Coffee House - to this coffee company ~ Sound Coffee ~ They also have another location in the outskirts of Bridgeport. They’re still a very simple good quality coffee shop.

This is the place that gives people a reason to hate coffee and I love coffee. P.S. I tried finding the Coffeebus side of their gig to leave a review for that but, this will do.

I get to the counter and receive a beautiful stare down complete with silence. I mean, who even needs a, ā€œHey, good morning! What can I get you?ā€ anymore in life anyways? Besides, I love initiating server-customer convos. It’s the best.

Sooo, I order a cold brew coffee light and sweet. The personal usual I get from pretty much everywhere. Instead, I get an unoriginal cup of [by the taste, I’m assuming it’s either] Chameleon or Califa coffee, which I’m not the biggest fan of & admittedly I could be wrong in which case, whatever brand they do use kind of sucks and tastes just like those two. Just... the coffee was a genuine disappointment because at the end of the day there are dozens of better brands to choose, you can go to Big Y and get a whole jug for a couple bucks more, and make about 8 slamming cups yourself instead of one lousy one.

Price was laughable for the product. If I’m treating myself to a $5 cup of coffee, I want to be impressed. Instead I get some 2/10 and an overcharge (I’ve investigated a little & see that via the website).

I didn’t get a full cup of coffee, I got a 3/4.

Because there are no sizes provided I assumed I’d get, at the very least, a medium, instead I get something short of a ā€œgrandeā€ size (for visuals).

I was thrown shade when the coffee came to me not light and sweet but watery and black. When I said it wasn’t what I asked for, the girl pointed at the packaged sugar and creamer and goes ā€œOh, it’s over there you can do it.ā€ Except, any respectable coffee joint knows that one, make the coffee like it’s asked, and two, granulated sugar will not dissolve in cold coffee. So I ask for liquid sugar. She hesitated as if shocked I knew what that was, then dodged behind the window and came back with ā€œAll I have is vanilla.ā€ Then as I’m dripping it in to make it the desired taste, I KID YOU NOT(!) she snatches it away and hides it. And I’m standing there like ā€˜Haha, ah... excuse me?’ which I hoped my eyes could relay as I watched her nervously looking everywhere else.

Just stick to Starbucks for a coffee of this price, you’ll be happier. I know a damn good cup of coffee when I taste it but above all else: service means everything. I think a lot of people forget how important that is these days. This place flunked on both. Get better management for the bus or return the loan, jeez. Sure, I’d have you at my wedding, if I hated all the...

Strap in folks, because you’re about to have some of the best coffee in the area! Sound Coffee started at a different location and expanded to what was Source Coffee (when the old owners decided to retire and go live on a farm raising chickens or sheep or crypto). Here’s the cool part: the new owner, Jeff, KEPT THE OLD STAFF. That’s right, the upbeat attitude (Esther), smiling face (Hanna), witty banter (Sindy), and phenomenal barista skill are still there. Some remodeling has been also been done and if you haven’t been in since then, you owe it to yourself to check it out. It almost feels like a jazz club but without the pretention. (I’m still going to rock a beret in there, though.) The coffee quality is solid. Mostly because their roaster, Jovanny, is in-house and has trained how to roast. I don’t know where roasters go to learn this, so I like to imagine it’s some weird cross between a martial arts temple and physics lab. Think Marvel’s ā€œDoctor Strangeā€ …because this coffee is fricking magical! But like most things we thought were magic, it’s science. Time, temp, etc. Whatever it is that makes this so good, Jovanny has got the skill. Just try one of the house roasts and you’ll see. Okay, so magic beans aside, there is an expansion of flavor offerings. Syrups sure, but the specialties are awesome. An iced tiramisu latte with cold foam? Whoever came up with this went and decided my summer drink for me and I couldn’t be happier. This place is amazing. It’s my regular stop before work, and it’s a great place to get work done if you need to sit down, study, work, journal, read, or just enjoy a great...

I absolutely love this coffee shop! From the moment you walk in, the cozy atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The staff are incredibly friendly and always greet you with a smile, making every visit a pleasant experience. Their coffee is consistently fresh and expertly roasted by their certified roaster at their Main street location — I’m a big fan of their rich espresso and perfectly balanced lattes. What really sets them apart, though, are their seasonal drinks. Every time I visit, there’s a new creative flavor that perfectly captures the spirit of the season or holiday, whether it’s a ā€œbasicā€ pumpkin spice latte or a refreshing iced berry blend in the summer. Plus, the variety of pastries and snacks are delicious and pair perfectly with the drinks. Whether I’m catching up with friends or just need a quiet spot to work, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality coffee and a...
