Pizza Spezia — Restaurant in Bridgeville

This pizza was undercooked.

The dough was still gooey, see pic. And its not just the sort-of squishy brrad layer that cheese creates sometimes.

The toppings were sufficient. The pizza bone (crust hand-hold without sauce) was ok, but markedly different consistency (more bready, not at all gooey) compared to the area under the toppings. The ranch dipping sauce was unexpected.

The major part of the pie (under the cheese/sauce) was crisp brown on the very bottom and uneven gooey elsewhere. Perhaps the dough was frozen, and didnt get to thaw? I dont know. I didnt eat much, but tore about 4 pieces to see if I happened to pick the worst side. It was very uneven through out.

We were looking for pizza on Easter Sunday. Our usual go-tos were closed, so we found Pizza Spezia. I appreciated that they were open and, at 8pm, were still serving. The mom and pop vibe of the place was appreciated. Unfortunately, the pizza was not up to par. We ordered an extra large, hoping to have extras for lunch the next day. However, there was minimal sauce and cheese on it. My wife and I chose to eat very little of it, as it really just wasn't that good. I'd recommend the owners add flavor, additional sauce and additional cheese, if they want to offer a competitive product . Especially at the price...

Awful customer service. I received a text saying I placed an order but I didn’t and when I called the restaurant to request the order to be cancelled they said it was already in the oven and they couldn’t cancel the order. I said I didn’t place the order and I didn’t want the pizza and they said well if you didn’t order it who did?? I said why would I call and cancel my order if I placed it?? She then said I would be charged and to “forget this number” and hung up on me!!! I will NEVER order from this establishment...
