Questing for unique public parks in Pittsburgh #1
Figured there should be a preamble of sorts. I decided to add a little tourist hobby to finding fun public parks that have different features. Sometimes sought out, sometimes chosen based on circumstances.
I really found the park perfect for an afternoon alone on a Sunday. I am sure that it bustles more during the summer and sport influenced seasons. I was really only disappointed by the winding road to get there (I know, Pittsburgh). The very calm atmosphere of the park is very centering. It is quaint and wholesome for any family, with a beautiful pink playground. I always hope for creative climbing opportunities and the monkey bar set was fun, but limited. Going to the park when it is near seems fine, but not necessary to seek out for its more unique children's experience.
(P.S. Saw the trails and would love to experience them at some point in an amendment perhaps).

Read moreYou can only enter this park if you are making a left coming at the entrance and for good reason. The park sits at the bottom of a hill and the road down is steep and has an almost 180 turn halfway down. There is some parking but I would imagine that if there are 2 or 3 baseball games occurring at the same time parking may be a premium. However, there are a couple of pavilions and there is a really nice childrens playground. It is newer and is a very nice size. There is also a stream that runs along the border of the park but I am unsure...

It was dark over at the play ground area there was baseball games going on so kids were over there playing they should add a light for during games and ect. Other then that it was "okay" graffiti on play area my son asked what it said it was in red permanent marker...
