I have visited many places in my travels around the country and world, and I've written many reviews for different outlets, mostly on TripAdvisor. Unfortunately for this place, this will be the worst review I've ever written.

I had tried eating here a few years ago with my wife just for a dinner, we were not impressed with the food. It was average at best. My wife saw an advertisement on Facebook last week for a BBQ they apparently have annually. My wife wasn't feeling good that day, so I went down to make us both a plate since we only live 5 minutes away.

When I showed up there was absolutely no one there. Maybe there should have been a clue, I asked what was going on and the people there said "I think we advertised it a little too late". I made us both a plate with pulled pork, some rigatoni pasta, potato salad, macaroni salad, some Oriental noodles, and grabbed a couple of cookies for dessert. I had our dinner as soon as I got home with my wife, The pork was bland, the pasta was very unremarkable, potato salad average at best, oriental noodles slightly spicy, but nothing would have been anything I would go back for or like.

The next day I started feeling quite ill. I brushed it off a little bit and figured maybe I had caught something. As the day went on my digestive problems worsened, that evening I had a fever, the next day I ended up in the St Clair hospital emergency room. They ran a number of tests, and today one of them came back that I was positive for E Coli. I'm assuming I'll now get a call from the Allegheny County health department. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! The first thing we noticed when we walked in the door was how neat and clean the place was. That's always a good sign! They had plenty of parking in the back; nice. Sara, the waitress was exceptionally attentive without hovering or being annoying -- so very friendly! In fact, when the jukebox was on, she asked if was too loud, and even offered to play something on it for us because she had an extra credit.

I ordered "The Stingray" and my wife ordered the Ruben. Unfortunately on that day, they were out of corned beef, possibly because we got there late in the day/evening. So we ended up getting two "Stingrays." When we received our order, the jalapenos were missing from our sandwiches, but it wasn't long before our waitress was back with a generous portion for the two of us -- after all, I did say she was very attentive. Makayla is an absolute angel on earth!!!!! Your bar was the only place with lights on when I was driving aimlessly around in desperate need of ice for my son's medication that needs to be refrigerated tonight after these horrible storms. She graciously gave me a bag full so I could keep it cold for the night. She didn't know me from a stone on the corner. She could have easily turned me away but she did not.
