Wendy's — Restaurant in Brighton

The boy taking our order didn't seem to like white people. A couple of times, he tried speaking Spanish to us even after we said we didn't understand him. He then turned around and spoke in Spanish to his coworkers to their amusement. I ordered chicken nuggets, and he said they didn't have them. I asked for chicken strips; he said they didn't have them. He repeated that Wendy's does not have chicken nuggets or chicken strips. I said I would have to call my husband to see what else he would want. Then, I looked up and saw nuggets on the menu and questioned this to the worker. He said they do have nuggets but not chicken nuggets or strips. So I got the "nuggets"and asked for a chocolate shake. He said they don't have chocolate shakes. I said a chocolate frosty and told him to stop and that he knew what I meant. I came back to the counter to get a refill for my dad, and when he asked what kind after a big sigh, I said rootbeer, and he turned to me with a smile, but I corrected myself before he could and said a Barqs rootbeer. Clean restaurant, and the staff has a helpful attitude. I had the Harvest Salad and Baconator Frys with a large lemonade strawberry to get hydrated after my flight to Colorado. The heaping salad was as advertised and more: not lettuce with a few ingredients but loaded with sliced apples, fresh tender chicken, dried cranberries, bacon, feta cheese - all the good stuff. It was so tasty I didn't even need to put on the 60 calorie salad dressing! For those that don't like nuts on their salad, never fear, the nuts were in a separate sealed packet.

The Baconator fries were loaded with cheese and just the right amount of bacon. The lemonade was 2/3rds ice - my wife would have loved it that way - too much ice for me, but I'm sure if I would have protested they would have topped me off again.

All the food I had seemed to have been freshly made and they brought it to my table. They are not cheap like McDonalds, but I wasn't looking for a cheap mass-produced dinner after a long day. Stopped in for a chocolate frosty. Worst frosty I've ever had and I stop at Wendy's all over the country. No taste, very little chocolate. Consistency was not good either. Frosty's are usually very smooth. This one wasn't. Took both purchased back for a refund. Wish Corporate was there to try it. May have been their machine that day but I doubt it. Had trouble with this Wendy's before, especially on prices. Found that this Wendy's charged more for Frosty's than other Wendy's in the Denver area.
