Was looking for a place for my husband and I to eat that was in this area as we were driving through and needed to eat something. We looked on Google and came across this establishment and saw it had items we were definitely interested in. We decided to order and dine-in. We got our food and it was not made the way we ordered it which was a bit frustrating because that's the point of being able to customize items. We specifically asked for the rolls to be scooped and because they weren't the rolls were extremely soggy. My sandwich was so soggy I couldn't even eat it so my husband took it back to the kid at the counter and explained that to him. The kid proceeded to throw it away and that was it. My husband asked for the refund and was told "Oh there is no refund, she ate half the sandwich." Mind you I didn't even eat a quarter of the sandwich because the small sliver I did cut was mush! So we proceeded to tell him he was wrong and that maybe he should of paid better attention to which he responded saying "Well you told me to throw it away," basically blaming us that there was now no proof that the entire sandwich was still there untouched. He said his boss would need our number so he can call us to send us the refund which made no sense considering we are standing right there. We told him we didn't want a new sandwich because we weren't from this area and especially after the first one wasn't good at all and we just wanted the money back for the one sandwich only. The kid put his manger on the phone so my husband explained it to him which was differently then the kid did. We were finally given the money back and left. I've never in my life experienced any type of situation like that before. Usually if something is wrong with your food you're offered a new one or your monet back especially if it wasn't eaten but this turned into a debate! For our first experience it was definitely not good and unfortunately we won't be stopping back again if we're in the area...
Read moreRead moreI've driven past this place since it's been there and decided to give it a try today. After looking at the over-head menu I ordered a cheese steak. When the girl told me my total it sounded high, and as I looked back up at the posted menu price the girl said the prices are higher than what's on the posted amount. The price said $8.50, but came to over $10 for just a cheese steak. I said to the girl that you have to charge the posted price. She went to get the manager or owner, who seemed to come out with an attitude right away. After I told him that it's my first time there and wanted to try it and said that he has to charge the price that's posted, he pointed to a paper taped to the register, telling me that he put that big paper right on the register saying that, "prices are changing for 2022 and Happy New Year". The paper had no prices or increase amounts. I said that the paper had obviously been there quite awhile. How am I to know if those prices on the menu haven't already been increased? He rudely said well you can cancel the order, and walked away. The girl looking at me, I told her never mind. RED FLAG- No current prices posted; Rude and condescending manager who absolutely has no concern for customers, no responsibility for posting current prices. Foreign looking manager, that's not the way a good business is run. *I did not judge by the cover, just trying to describe the person I was in contact with. Also, other "rave" reviews do not account for the experience...
Late Food Friday post. Tried out Johnny Long Hots. Went with the "Rocky" Cutlet sandwich. It has a choice of cutlet, Prosciutto, broccoli rabe, and provolone on a seeded Italian roll. I choose chicken and this was a great sandwich. The chicken had a lot of flavor. Fried nicely and good seasoning on the breading. The rabe added some nice veggie flavor. The Prosciutto was alright. The provolone, rabe, and chicken brought a lot of flavor so it was a bit difficult to isolate the Prosciutto. The roll was fine and I think the seeds are a good addition. Solid 8.1 / 10. Also tried the long hot peppers. If you're a fan of stuffed peppers these are great. The skinny ends aren't as spicy but as you get closer to the stem, the heat starts to ramp up. They pack some good heat. We did the sampler. All of them are pretty good but I'd probably go for the Prosciutto one. The flavors get drowned out by the spice. Feel like they need some stronger flavored additions that can shine through the spice a little more. A blue cheese might be a good move. I'd give em 6 / 10. Also tried cheese fries. I always go for mozzarella. These were good. Big portion and nicely melted cheese. This is an awesome spot that has a lot of sandwich options. Would definitely come back...
