I like living life on the edge and that's exactly why I always order tuna the first time I visit a place. Tuna can only go one of two ways, good or bad. It's a great way to gauge an eatery.
Anyway...I stop here after doing some personal business and order a tuna hoagie to go. They weren't busy customer-wise, but all the staff were prepping, cleaning, etc. Two guys immediately stop what they're doing and offer assistance. I placed my order and service was fast and friendly. Good price too considering the "feel" of the hoagie.
But what of the tuna?
Well, I had taken the day off, the kids were at grandma's, wife was at work, and maybe it was just the pure pleasure of a very rare quiet afternoon -- but that was one of the best darn tuna hoagies I've had in my entire life.
It was so good, I went back the next day (a Saturday) with my wife and ordered a tuna wrap. And other than my tuna wrap being accompanied by a weekend to-do list (no fault of the business), it was also an incredible experience. My wife also expressed pleasure with her meal after providing a detailed work list to me during our lunch.
So the moral of this review is two-fold. Check this place out. Great food, great service. And secondly, if you ever get the urge... Take the day off, kick out the kids, turn off the phone and indulge yourself with a tuna hoagie from Lee's. You...
Read moreLee's is not was it once was. Have been customer with family for many years and return customer after moving back to area. Starting out with web site it seems to not be up to date for example in "This Weeks Super Special" 1/2 (9") Lee's Turkey Gobbler Hoagie ONLY $9.95!.... I dont think deal has been valid since around last thanksgiving..Not possible to order any longer. Why would you not remove this from web page by the summer? Recent order I noticed the quality of bread used is not great, The next day bread is pretty dry and a bit hard. The kind of thick/cheap air filled bread...Very little tuna on hoagie for the price. Quality/quantity seems to have degraded for hoagies/sandwiches . Meatball sub has become pretty sad. Not recommended. If you select "Hot peppers" with any sub you will get red relish pepper mix.. Salads are completely generic. On the plus side they are very reasonable to deliver (charge + add your own tip) if you order direct from web site. There is a warning to avoid delivery services like Door Dash/Uber Eats ect. and order direct which we have done.. French Fries are still great... they will only be thrown in paper bag if delivered. Chicken tenders and nachos are...
Read moreStopped by for a last minute dinner since no one knew what to eat plus just being overall tired and hot to make dinner…Picked up a grilled chicken caesar salad for my husband, a turkey and cheese hoagie for myself and a Philly cheesesteak for my stepson. The woman at the register was very nice and it was just her and a young man behind the counter. The establishment was clean (no one else was there when we went a little after 7 pm) and stocked with chips and beverages. This was our first time and took some time to look at the menu and decide. The woman behind the counter must have noticed and offered to help. My husband said he really enjoyed the chicken caesar salad; as for my turkey and cheese sandwich: not sure if it’s an option but for personal preference, I found the turkey to be too thick sliced and next time, I would ask if it can be thinly sliced..and also I would ask for a little more lettuce and tomato (again, just personal preference!) My step son said his cheese steak was good (No pic he ate it way later on that night coming home from work) The staff was super nice which made the experience great..I would try other items for next time but we did find it a bit on the...
