Tex's Chicken & Burgers — Restaurant in Bristol Township

WOULDN’T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. Long story short, me and my family ate here on Friday which was 5/3/24. I was the only one who got a chicken sandwich and I noticed that the sandwich was a tad bit off. The texture was off and so was the color. Now this might sound dumb but I was hungry so I still ate a half of the sandwich, but the rest I threw away because I was getting sick of it. Sadly I don’t have a picture and this is only my second time eating here so I am so disappointed because the first time I ate here it wasn’t as bad. Now for the main point, I got food poisoning. I know I got food poisoning from here because I ate here on Friday, started feeling sick on Saturday and it got worse on Sunday. I hadn’t eaten out after Friday so what other possibility could it be that I got food poisoning none other than here. On Saturday it wasn’t as bad I guess, my stomach was just hurting a little and I thought it was just a cramp or a stomachache. Although on Sunday, my stomach started hurting a lot and was cramping more, I started vomiting violently, I was light headed and couldn’t stand up for long, I had a loss of appetite, I felt extremely unusually lazy, and I’m sorry I have to say this but I also was experiencing diarrhea. I’m extremely disappointed with this place as it is only my second time eating here and my last! I’ll stay very very far away from this place but I’m just writing this to save others from this unprofessional place who serves people raw food. I’m slowly recovering but I still feel ill. I've been going here for at least a year or two by now. My family and I have been obsessed with it. We get the same thing every time. We don't mind the wait or anything because it's ALWAYS fresh and hot. Just went and I'm really debating ever going back. I know people have off days or a food item might not be in stock, but at least be upfront about it. First, the drive thru guy was mad I wouldn't buy a combo. That was odd. I just wanted sandwiches and fries. So, my typical wait time at the window. No biggie whatsoever. I barely live 2 minutes down the road. Food was EXTREMELY cold. It was actually shocking to taste it not even lukewarm. Anyway, the grilled chicken sandwich was cold, super thin, not even close to half an inch thick like it typically is, literally paper thin. I was told it had a rubber covering on it (like a bad piece of chicken). The regular cheeseburger was mediocre, again, cold. They used to give big patties that were freshly made. This was the size of a regular McDonald's burger, super thin and basically bun and condiments. I'm assuming the double cheeseburger would be the size of one of their old patties...? The last burger we got was the Hell Burger. It was horrible, they used to batter and fry the onions and jalapenos. They were thrown on the sandwich raw, the onions seemed rotten. Review has nothing to do with food but the inept employees there. I was there to pick up an Uber Eats order late last night at drive thru. After sitting at the speaker for nearly 5 minutes in silence, I said hello and then was told to hold on. After waiting another few minutes, the person finally said can I help you. I told them I m here to pick up Uber Eats order and told them the name. Then I was told someone picked up the order already. Which I then replied, well, it was stolen then because the order came to me and I'll be calling Uber support. Then it was silence and I pulled off to a parking spot on the side. I called Uber support and told them what just happened. Support then said they were calling the restaurant because they have no record of the order picked up nor delivered. Which would be great for me! Because they call the restaurant and ask them to remake the order and Uber will send them the credit. What happens? Uber calls them and she tells me they will not answer the phone! 😡 So now I waste my time, gas and mileage driving here for nothing! It was 20min in complete opposite direction i was traveling but the order sent to me was paying me $23! So i took it when I was just about to go home for the night.
