Nello's Pizza — Restaurant in Bristol

I'm a real tough critic on pizza places, I've been going to Nello's since I was a teenager, and when I say they have THE best grinders and calzones I've ever had, I mean it. The classic Italian grinder is usually my go to at small pizza spots like this, and this is the best Italian I've ever had, still to this day (20 years later). The buffalo chicken calzone is also out of this world, best I've ever had. You can't go wrong with a sandwich or calzone here. The pizza is also very good. Side note: A few years ago we were having a birthday party for my son in Bristol, close by to Nello's. The person who was supposed to bring 90% of the food dropped out and couldn't make it at the last minute. My first reaction was, well we need something to feed everyone, and my first thought was I'll call Nello and he'll take care of us. Sure enough, called, he got us 10-12 pizzas ready very quickly, and everyone loved the pizza and asked where it was from. Nello is a class act. Family owned and operated, wonderfully wise couple that own it. This has been my go to pizza place in bristol for about two years now since I first tried them. Their prices are reasonable and have some amazing creations for special pizzas!! Reccommend the Trannsylvania pizza no red sauce, bacon, basil, garlic tomato slices, onions and olives (I opt out of the olives only because of family dislike not personal).. White, Greek or Canadian pizza also highly recommended. Pickup mainly only because they can't find a delivery driver and I can't blame them for not wanting to do doordash or Uber eats, that cost them money also and they would have to up prices on consumers to cover that additional cost. Starting with a decade and a half experience, this couple is doing something right. I am impressed by the dough made freshly and the detail to Nellos craft. With home made, hand crafted sauces with Lots of goodies. There is a nice depth to his pies, unless you get their gluten-free. Buffalo Chicken Pizzas and Calzones are Impressive. I personally dip mine in their rich blue cheese dressing. Sandwiches are made to order on soft bread (can be toasted if you ask) with a nice mix of fixings.
