My family and I went in to dine in last weekend. To point out, this place has been a staple restaurant for years for my family growing up in Brockto as it once was Joe's Best Diner. I recently realized the name change but didn't know there was new management.
I was ordering pick up at their drive through prior to the dine in experience so I had no clue what was inside.
As my family and I went in it was packed. I figured that much since this place has always been busy. Noticed again the changes and thought it can't be all that bad in terms of what was once here versus now.
We had a older woman serve us which she seems very frazzled and couldn't really commit to serving us at the moment. She finally came to us but asked if we wanted silverware which was strange because we had nothing. She did mention getting the kids plasticware which I appreciated but then walked away and we didn't see her for a few. Again it was busy so I wasn't upset.
A young man, maybe under 10 years old, assuming he was someone's son came over and asked for our drinks. I wish I had gotten his name and his brother's name because their service was PHENOMENAL! Well spoken and beyond polite.
Here's where things went sour...
As we were ordering our food I noticed the staff behind the counter (open kitchen) seemed off. One staff looked so disinterested and disgusted that he was even there. Body language is everything and it was uncomfortable to watch. Then was the main cook, assuming he might be the owner? All he kept saying was that it was busy and he was done cooking. Very nonchalant and very expressive about it because it reflected in our meals.
We ordered a fruity pebbles waffle and I watched that man leave the waffle in and forget about it. Then when he finally realized he cooked it, grabbed a pinch of cereal and threw it on top. Mind you when we asked about the waffle the older woman said they put it in the batter so we were intrigued to try it.
I ordered pumpkin pancakes and it was undercooked and just tossed together. I didn't even realize there was cider syrup and the cook brought it over and just said here and walked away.
Now I'm not one to judge on a busy day at a restaurant but this was beyond awful for me to pay $75. we bought our children food as well I wanted to bring it up to the owner/Manger but he seemed like the type to make excuses and not acknowledge anything. Plus he kept saying he was done, he was tired, they were busy, etc. It was extremely uncomfortable to hear.
How do you bring up that you're displeased with the services to someone like that. Not to mention I wanted to treat my family to food that I've enjoyed for years living in Brockton. We came all the way from the southcoast (Fall River, Swansea, Somerset area near Providence, RI) to indulge at this place.
I'm not sure I will return again. That left a bad taste for me and I'm truly...
Read moreI’ve ordered take-out three times from this place. The first time I had an amazing experience, the waitress was kind, attentive and very friendly. It was a bubbly blonde woman. Unfortunately I haven’t seen her since that day.
My last two experiences at the diner were not pleasant. The older waitress with the burgundy/red hair is not polite and very dismissive. She ruins the whole mood of the establishment. It seems like she is not happy and it shows through her actions and demeanor. I let it go because my first experience was great and the food is pretty good.
Last Saturday was the final straw. I walked into the diner to pick up an order I placed online. The same waitress with the burgundy/red hair looked at me, then turned her back and continued pouring syrup into the bottles. She didn’t say hi, I’ll be right with you or anything. She totally made me feel disregarded. I stood there for about five minutes and then I finally said “can someone help me!?!” The girl at the drive thru asked how could she help and I told her I was standing there for 5 mins and no one acknowledged me. Then the red head lady chimed in and said I’m being helped. That’s when I told her off and gave her a piece of my mind. She totally ignored me when I first got there, now all of a sudden she wanted to add her irrelevant comment since I voiced my complaint. I’m just disgusted by her behavior and disrespect. She has a terrible attitude and isn’t friendly at all. My Three Sons does not feel like a family atmosphere. It feels cold and dark. As I was leaving some other waitress with dark hair said I don’t have to come back. I turned around to say something to her but decided to leave, she wasn’t worth the time.
I will never order from your organization again. I wish I could give a negative five for the service. I’ve let my friends and family know as well. The food is good but unfortunately the restaurant is going to lose business because of the...
Read more12/10 9:30am ive eaten here before and it’s pretty decent for the price up until today. I haven’t had an issue. I ordered food to go a Benedict with crispy bacon and corned beef hash. The corn beef hash really didn’t look cooked. I had to cook it in my air fryer. I asked for crispy bacon and it was crispy but for some reason they put my bacon on top of my English muffin which had the eggs and the Benedict sauce on top. Now I’ve ordered Benedict from here multiple times and for take out the sauces always on the side of course today it wasn’t. My crispy bacon is just a wet mess, which is upsetting, can’t beat the price, but I really didn’t feel like coming home and cooking when I ordered to go from a restaurant it just defeated the whole purpose. You are a restaurant. Please learn how to properly vent food for takeout. If you’re gonna use cardboard containers, you have to poke holes in the top because after you put the food in the to go container, then you suffocate it in plastic bags which just gives the customer a hot, wet mess I wish you could be on the receiving end of getting takeout from your establishment so you could see what the takeout customers deal with and probably why you don’t have a lot of returning customers. Please stop putting stuff in plastic bags not only is it disgusting but you’re infusing the chemicals in the plastic into the food I wish you would understand that. Why do you think so many places banned plastic bags. I got to eat what was cooked I picked around it and threw the rest of the bacon away. I should’ve taken my pictures first but I was too busy cooking bacon for my...
