I have been watching the parking lot at Goldies for a while. The business seems to be doing fair. There is a huge discrepancy in the rating. Yelp has a sad rating of 2.4 (36 reviews) while Google reviewers seem to like Goldie’s better awarding it with a 4.1 rating (650 reviews). I have found that more reviews usually provide a better assessment of the business’s actual performance. The nostalgia for a Goldie’s charburger, was stronger than the fear of a bad dining experience. My last experience at the Goldie’s in Pryor was great. So, I’m in for giving the BA store a try. We had a new waiter. He was inefficient and fumbling a little here and there, but overall, it worked out. The pickle bar is gone, in its place the waiter brought a generous bowl of the mixed pickles. Still good like they used to be. The burger was a good thick lean beef patty with the Goldie’s signature char flavor on a toasted bun. Smaller than I remember. A very simple, uncomplicated burger. It came with a leaf of fresh lettuce, several crisp onion rings and a slice of tomato. Decorate it as you please. The fries were perfect. These were the coated fries. They stay crisp throughout the meal; even crisp when they are cold. I thought it was a great meal. I would rate it as better than 75% of the burgers I have had in Tulsa. The restaurant itself is in desperate need of a reimage and make over. New management is needed. It is time to break from the past. The restaurant is still the dreary gloomy green inside. Most of the diners in the restaurant this afternoon had gray hair, and there like me for the nostalgia of a Goldie’s Char Burger. If you weren’t around when Goldie’s was in its peak …well it is hard to explain the draw. For other reviews laced with superfluous, time-wasting inessential information, sarcastic diatribe and subjective opinion, follow Spike S. on Yelp and Spike...

I love Goldie's. I worked there for years before Steve & Brian took over. Went to eat last night and they were not busy (parking lot was barren, so we got seated). There was no silverware, no napkins, no crackers. I remember there being a basket of crackers on the table. There is not even Club crackers anymore. You can't get pickles yourself either, but when they brought us pickles, they were old and soft and blah! The bread & butter pickles were so mushy & disgusting (probably because they were in the back & old). So, we ordered our food (Country Dinner & Chicken Plate. It was supposed to come with lettuce & tomato but that was invisible I guess). Waited at least 20 minutes for our food. She brought out our coleslaw before the meal...still no silverware. She did bring crackers...5 packs. We had to use the crackers & our fingers to eat coleslaw! Coleslaw was dripping on the table....no napkins to wipe it up. Our server had no personality and was lazy. Our food finally came, and woo hoo, silverware with ONE napkin. I thought about cutting my napkin in 1/2 so I could have two napkins. The food was great!

We thought that since all the other restaurants around were crowded, we would get good fast service...WRONG. If we did need anything, our server was no where to be found to ask for anything.

Just thought could you all be a little more cheap?! Come on, put some napkins out, crackers, pickles (the Corona Virus is here to stay). That is what Goldie's in known for...Pickle bar,...

At this location the staff was incompetent the cook was unfortunately severely untrain a ton capable of performing his duties to a standard which meets any two bodies criteria of freaking cooking. very simple three cheeseburgers and a regular burger with cheese burgers are all medium rare and the regular burger is medium the regular burger comes out bleeding the three cheeseburgers we're not rare they were raw. that one complaining about the food and the burgers came into heavy disagreement with the management about their cooking style I am not perfect evening I do but I am a cook I do know what medium rare with medium is what they do is not that very simple fried mushrooms let's get there if I have mushrooms came out hard enough to break teeth and you couldn't cut it with a knife he had to break it with a hammer asked for them t o be recooked and they came out a second time the same way. one Burger was sent back it's very obvious take deep fried it to finish cooking it and see if it back on the grill it came back to the table with the same bun have eaten a wooden trinket order they just deep-fried it it was dripping in Greece you was obviously just deep-fried the edges they only did the judges like that you can tell that mustard mayonnaise cheese is still on the meat so was not put back on the grill cuz I had mustard mayonnaise on one side she's on the other yet he was...

Horrible 🤮 food and service. Only 4 people in the restaurant. 2 people were eating and 2 people were waiting on their food. We ordered 2 dinners. After 30 mints still no food, we then requested our food to go. By now we were the only two in the restaurant left. The cook in the back had been talking this whole time to someone else (he was very loud) the server girl had to interrupt him to ask him if our food was almost done. He told her it was coming off in a few mints. We got our food to go and when we opened it to eat the 1st dinner was wrong ( not what we ordered ) and the 2nd dinner was completely burnt and hard on the bottom you could hardly cut it with a steak knife (couldn’t eat it, it was so hard if could have broken my teeth) no cheese in either burger. What a wasted trip and money. It’s almost like it was deliberately done. This would should have never been given to any human. Cook should be fired. I drove all the way from Glenpool just to eat here. What a waste of time and money!! My opinion is this place should be closed and Health Dept should look into this. I believe this burger had been cooked and saved for awhile and recooked due to how hard and burnt it was. Disgusting 🤮. Do not waste your money here. To many places to eat that are trying to do the right thing.

Where do I begin. We got our drinks but the waitress knocked a sweet tea onto my brother. We thought "oh it's okay accidents happen" so we were just gonna eat and go home so he can change. We moved tables and had our order placed. We sat there for almost an hour waiting for our food. Two salads and two burgers. We could hear how loud the waiters and waitresses were talking. They were obviously irritated with each other and turns out, our salads were ordered wrong and had to be made again. THEN TO TOP IT ALL OFF our WAITRESS said "I don't feel good today" to her co-workers. During a PANDEMIC. Obviously not going back. Response: we didn't plan on it anyways:) thanks for only responding to me and only defending the waitress when I mentioned other problems. From what I've read, people have had issues similar to ours with wait times and worse issues and not once did you respond to them. Wow, you deleted your reply? Good thing I took a screenshot. Deleting what you said isn't gonna fix anything. Really says something about this place. (Here's the screenshot if anyone else wants to see what they deleted) I highly recommend checking the reviews about the cockroaches too. It's sad that a place that I came to as a kid and enjoyed is so different, and not in a good way
