3 years after my last visit to Los Mariachis, I decided I would give them another shot after seeing they had a new general manager and he was active in a local restaurant review group on Facebook. When we walked through the door, a waitress was behind the counter, and she promptly greeted my wife and I before taking us to a booth. My first observation was that the place was bright and clean. After roughly 5 minutes, the lady who sat us came over to ensure someone had been by to get our drink order, which they hadn't, so she got our order for a couple of waters. During the time she went to get our waters, another young lady came by to get our drink order. I informed her that someone already got our drink order but that I would like some spicy salsa if they have it.

A short time later, the original waitress came back with our drinks but no spicy salsa. After a quick trip to the kitchen, she brought out their spicy salsa and took our food order. My wife wanted the side portion of their ceviche and the kid's meal cheese enchilada covered in cheese sauce with rice and beans. I ordered the enchiladas rancheras substitute rice and beans for sautéed vegetables. She asked what meat I would like, and both my wife and I said carnitas since that's what the menu mentioned.

As we waited for our meal, we snacked on the chips and both salsas. The chips arrived warm/hot. The red salsa tasted fresh and had decent flavor. The spicy salsa had a different texture than the red and a distinct flavor. I wasn't a huge fan of their spicy salsa flavor wise, but it wasn't horrible by any means. Before we knew it, both our entrées arrived minus the ceviche. Once our waitress realized the ceviche appetizer never arrived, she promptly went back to the kitchen and brought it out.

My wife's meal arrived just as she had ordered it. She mentioned the beans tasted homemade, so naturally, I needed to sample them for myself, and I agree they tasted good. The enchilada was pretty good. Unfortunately, she didn't really eat the rice to comment on them.

My meal wasn't made correctly, but I didn't complain since they still tasted really good. They ended up giving me steak enchiladas covered in cheese sauce and carnitas rather than cheese enchiladas that's stated on the meal. The steak tasted really good, so I considered it a happy accident. The cheese sauce tasted very delicious. The carnitas were just your basic run of the mill cooked pork. They really loaded the plate up with veggies, and they were cooked and seasoned well. The shrimp ceviche portion was huge for the price. The flavor was great and easily something we would order again.

During our meal, both waitresses came by checking on us, which wasn't a bad thing, but it gave me the impression they weren't really on the same page. Overall, they took decent care of us. When they brought us our ticket, I noticed the waitress entered my meal with steak because they had an extra $2 charge. I thought about mentioning the error after getting my meal, but since I didn't, I opted not to mention it now and just pay the upcharge. I wasn't aware they charged $2.50 for spicy salsa. Had I known, I would've likely opted not to get it. If the spicy salsa was better, I might not mind the upcharge, but it wasn't $2.50 good.

They have a spot on the ticket that states cash discount, but it is actually a charge, which I imagine can confuse people based on its description. I assume that if you pay cash, they deduct the cash discount, which was 98 cents. A little more attention to details (appetizer arriving after the meal and the entry mistake on my meal) and the experience goodve been better. I'm sure we'll back sooner than 3...

This is disappointing to write. My family and I have been coming here nearly every Friday for probably 2 years. The service and the overall quality of the experience and service has drastically changed over the last 6 months or so. We have been patient and tolerant with the changes but after tonight, we will not be returning. Tonight, it started with our server getting my wife’s drink order wrong (has happened many times recently). I will say that she corrected the drink with no issues. Another family members drink had virtually no alcohol in it and we asked to have another shot added to it, for which we were charged for. This has happened several times other the last few months (wife’s drink had virtually no alcohol in it as well btw). Then we ordered queso to go with our chips. Our queso wasn’t brought to us until she brought us our meals. While 2 other tables next to us who came long after us got their queso before us. When I challenged our server about it after the bill came, she said “but the queso made it to the table”. So rather than comp us for that (she knows we are a regular customer) or even notify her manager that we were not happy, she chose to give us that answer. That along with the drink issues and the continued service quality issues over the last several months, we will no longer be coming to Mariachis. There are plenty of options in the BA area and we will find a new place for our Friday nights. Unfortunately, it appears loyal customers don’t mean anything...

My family and i went to get dinner and I ordered the camarones al ajillo and when the waitress brought my dish the shrimp looked like they had just squeezed minced garlic out of a jar on top of the shrimp . I removed some of it with a fork and took a bite to only burned my mouth and down my chest. It make me sick to my stomach and I waited for the waitress for a good 10 minutes and when she came back I told her the shrimp wasn't eatable she said she was very sorry and asked if I wanted them To prepare it again since my husband and my son were almost done I said no. I was feeling very nauseous with the strong nasty flavor in my mouth and dealing with a burning sensation on my throat and down my chest . We asked for the ticket and i noticed still got charged for it i paid it because I didn't want to be rude but I dint think It was fear. The waitress was super sweet and I understand it’s not her fault i made sure I told her that! I was very disappointed! My ticket was $49.98 and I still tip the waitress $5 we like to...

The margarita was good and a decent price. I might go for Happy Hour nachos and drinks, but I don't think I'll go back to the main dining area. Poor service. Slow service. Overcooked food. Kind of bland overall. There are 2 salsa options--a basic tomato sauce and a hot chili sauce. I worked at mixing the 2 to balance heat and flavor. They have the thicker style tortilla chips. TLDR; It wasn't full, there were plenty of staff, and yet the service was awful. It seemed the kitchen and wait staff handled the "To Go" orders faster than the dining room orders and then the wait staff stood around chatting instead of helping refill water or bussing tables. Our waitress had to be asked twice to bring us water before the meal even started and later I had to ask 2 different people to get more chips. The beef in the flautas was dry, and the guac was mediocre. It looks like if you want a positive dining experience, sit at the bar, order To Go, or just go someplace else.

We have been to the location in Glenpool and love it so we thought we’d try the location in our town. Unfortunately the food and service both disappointed. My chimichanga came out with the wrong sides, when I said something they took it back and simply removed the beans from the plate and brought it back. There was evidence of the beans still on the plate and the underside of my chimichanga. Yet it still didn’t have the requested side with it. Not only is that frustrating but I believe that is against health code violation. Once I got into my chicken fajita chimichanga the chicken was extremely dry, so dry I couldn’t even finish it. My husband got the La Hawaiiana fajitas and said the chicken was really dry in his as well, even while mixed in pineapple juice. Overall the service was extremely slow and refills and such were not kept up with well. I highly recommend making the trip to Glenpool if you want to check out this restaurant.
