McDonald's — Restaurant in Broken Arrow

At least once a week I take my grandsons to this McDonalds location after school so they can get a ‘basket of fries’ (their favorite after school snack). First of all, the location is always super clean. It is the only location in our area (which has many many locations) that we will visit because it is so clean. Every time we visit the lobby, everything is spotless, and someone is cleaning. Second of all when we get the fries after school, they are always piping hot, which is amazing. Thirdly, every time we go through the drive-through after school to get fries, I ask that each order of fries be put in a separate bag because the boys like to start eating them on their way home, and then when I get them home, they have so much to carry in because of backpacks along with instruments, and it makes it easier if each one has their own bag to carry in. Anyway, yesterday, when we went through the drive-through to get the fries, when I got to the window to pick them up, they were already each in their own separate bag. I had to smile. Apparently they are beginning to recognize us and they know that we always ask for a second bag. I was very, very appreciative of this. Even my young grandson thought it was really neat that they took that extra step for us. I have always recommended this location to people when they ask, which is the best McDonald’s to go to in our area. This is just one more reason I will continue recommending this location!! Just had a truly distasteful experience at the McDonald's drive-through. The older Hispanic lady who served us was unfortunately quite rude and unprofessional. We ordered multiple burgers, but one was missing from the bag. We realized this almost immediately and looped back around to correct the error.

Instead of a simple apology and correction, we were met with a change of story from her. She initially claimed she'd placed four burgers in the bag, then changed it to five. (We had two number 7 cheeseburger meals - one of which was special instructions that we received one of and a quarter pounder meal) Furthermore, she addressed us in a raised, disrespectful tone, talking down to us as if we were trying to cheat the system.

To add insult to injury, she had us empty out all the bags in front of her to 'prove' our claim. After a prolonged discussion, she finally handed over the missing burger. While I understand that everyone can have bad days, there's no excuse for such poor customer service.

McDonalds, please train your staff to handle such situations with grace and respect. It's not about the missing burger, it's about the way we were treated. We are customers, not culprits.
