Extremely disappointed. I ordered the breakfast steak meal. Asked to have only one egg and the server said I had to have 2. Asked for it poached but they don't do that so she offered basted. I said ok. Eggs were fairly well cooked. Asked for steak medium pink and it was medium well all through. Good flavor but dry. Per menu meal comes with a choice of 3 breads. I asked for dinner rolls per menu. She stated they weren't ready yet. Maybe in 5 mins. It was already 11 am. I said I'd wait. The real problem was with my daughter's meal. She ordered a breakfast bowl of sorts with scrambled eggs and substitute with American cheese. She also ordered a side of sausage gravy. The food came out timely but the plate was dirty on the edge. She dug in with a fork and out came a thin piece of something clear, shiny, narrow and about 3 inches long. It looked like plastic and stretched when pulled on. She said ok as she didn't want to be a problem. We thought it might be plastic from the cheese wrapper. Then she tried for another forkful and got another similar piece. Now we both have years of experience in restaurant food prep, managing and serving. I examined the pieces again and convinced her to send it back. The server, Mo, was very nice and understanding. She got the manager, Sandra. We explained the situation and she took the pieces of "plastic" and continued to debate what it was. She said she's seen this before and it is egg yolk strands from the grill. We explained her eggs were scrambled and the pieces were clear, shiny, smooth and stretchy. She proceeded to pull apart the pieces, disregarded our concern and insisted it was from the grill. My daughter, thoroughly disgusted being served questionable food on a dirty plate and now having to debate the manager, told her she didn't want this or anything else and to credit her purchase. The manager left with the plate and never came back to check on us. We were extremely appalled. The customer at the table across from us commented also that this was not appropriate customer service. We weren't even loud. We were credited for the food and apologized to by the server. Had the manager just acknowledged the poor preparation, apologized and offered a replacement I wouldn't be writing this. That was how we were trained to deal with situations like this. Some people just need to validate they're right. By the way, we live in the neighborhood and will go to the Bob Evans on...
Read moreOrdered my food at 1040am.... expected curbside at 1111am.. got there at 1112.. called and was hung up on.. called again and the line was busy.. so I walked in. Was told that my order wasnt ready, stood there waiting for a few minutes until I got tired and asked if it was possible to bring my food to my car since I had placed curbside pickup, the employee was beginning to tell me that she couldn't, I mentioned that I had both ordered curbside pickup and had tipped.. at that point she reluctantly agreed to bring me my order when it was ready. I went back to my car and waited a good 15-20 minutes more, before I went back in. This time, I was again told that my order was not ready. I watched them bring out order after order for door dash, over 5 huge orders. I had at this point placed my order an hour previous and my order was over 30 minutes late. I ventured over to where the GM was putting together orders, they've had my entire order just sitting out on the counter getting cold for who knows how long.. when I walked up and expressed my concerns over my food even being warm anymore, they assured me that it was okay and that they only needed to get the sausage gravy for my order. This was sitting on the counter for an extended period of time while they were pushing out door dash orders when my entire order was ready and only needed a side of gravy to finish? That's awful customer service. Awful time management. Awful experience all around. They brushed it off like nothing was wrong and said they were working as fast as they can... I worked in food for years in much higher volume and capacity. The issue wasnt the volume it was the leader, the time management, the lack of prioritization.. when I got my food home, mind you it's a 3 minute drive TOPS, my fiance and I found our breakfast to be ice cold. The hashbrowns undercooked. The biscuits burnt. I not only wasted an hour of my sunday, i wasted $40 on a breakfast that was not only cold but poorly made. I will NEVER come to this location again. I will gladly drive the extra 7 minutes to north olmsted where I will find the polar opposite of this brookpark location. 2 stars...
Read moreUPDATE: If I could give zero stars instead of the original two stars, I would. I just got a call from my family who stayed at the restaurant after I left in hopes of having lunch. They are much more optimistic than I am! Unfortunately, they too had to leave! Another ten minutes went by after I left, and no service! My granddaghter was so hungry! I felt sorry for her! They left and found much better service at a fast food place just up the road. What is wrong with the employees working at this location? This place was not busy as far as I could tell. To reiterate, this was my second visit with a longer than usual wait for food. I do not recommend at all! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I did not have a positive experience at this Bob Evans location. My son, daughter-in-law and one year old granddaghter arrived during lunch time. We waited about ten minutes before we were added to the seating list. We were told it would be a ten minute wait for a table. After twenty minutes passed, I asked the host how much longer it would be. She did apologize and explained she would have to wipe a table down and we would be seated. Once we were seated we waited another ten to twelve min before our server came to get our drink order. I explained I would be on my own check. She got my family's drink order but forgot to get mine! I called her back to our table. She apologized. I ordered coffee. She didn't ask if I wanted cream but I thought maybe she would bring some with the coffee. We waited about seven minutes for our drinks to arrive. The waitress forgot to bring cream with her. She went to get some however I noticed her speaking with another employee. I'm sure it was necessary communications however, I had had enough of the waiting and told my family I would meet them back at home. I was concerned for my granddaghter because she was getting restless. I know she was hungry to begin with. I visited this location another time with a friend and the wait that day was rather long as well. I thought maybe it was an off day but at this point I'm not sure. The dining room was by no means full, but maybe they were...
