I have been a loyal fan of Murf's Frozen Custard & Jumbo Burgers for years, and I can confidently say that this is one of the best spots for delicious burgers and mouth-watering custard. I first discovered Murf's when I was just 8 years old and was devastated when they left Waukesha. But fortunately, I stumbled upon their location in Brookfield.
The moment you step into Murf's, you are greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. The menu boasts a variety of options, but my all-time favorites are their Jumbo Burgers and custard. Let me tell you, these burgers are truly jumbo and packed with flavor. Each bite is an explosion of juicy goodness, and you can tell that the ingredients used are of high quality.
But the real star of the show is their frozen custard. It is hands down the best custard I have ever tasted. It is incredibly creamy and rich, and you can tell that it is made with love and care. I always opt for the classic vanilla flavor, and it never disappoints. But they also have a rotating selection of flavors that are equally delicious.
Apart from the amazing food, I also appreciate the cleanliness and hygiene maintained at Murf's. The restaurant is always spotless, and the food is prepared in a clean and organized manner. This shows the dedication and commitment of the staff towards providing top-notch service to their customers.
Overall, I cannot recommend Murf's Frozen Custard & Jumbo Burgers enough. It is a true gem in Brookfield, and I am grateful that I found them after all these years. They truly deserve a 5-star rating for their exceptional food, friendly service, and inviting atmosphere. If you haven't tried Murf's yet, I highly suggest you do. Trust me; you won't be...
Read moreI hadn’t been to Murf’s in years, and was genuinely excited to return. I walked in and was greeted politely, and my order was taken at 6:08 PM. I waited patiently, understanding that things can get busy. However, after standing there for over 30 minutes 6:38Pm, and watching multiple customers who ordered after me receive their food and sit down to eat, I became concerned.
When I asked about my order, the polite cashier checked in the back, only to be dismissed by a younger male cook who rudely said, “Just tell him we’re busy, food is almost done.” I waited another 10–15 minutes while even more orders were filled ahead of mine.
At that point—having been there over 40 minutes—I voiced my frustration and asked again where my food was. A young woman in the back snapped, “Food done,” in a tone that made it seem like I was at fault for the delay.
Eventually, a manager stepped in, handed me my food, sincerely apologized, and offered a quart of ice cream, which I appreciated. But this entire experience was extremely disappointing—especially since I genuinely love the food at Murf’s. Going forward, if a customer has been waiting 30+ minutes, that should raise a red flag. Misplacing an order is one thing, but continuing to serve 15+ customers ahead of someone who’s been patiently waiting is not acceptable. This was unfortunately the worst experience I’ve had at Murf’s, and I hope it was a...
Read moreFrozen custard: Chocolate custard was good, lots of topics. Shake was good, well mixed so you could actually get it through the straw.
Food: Murf Burger was a bit lack luster, just tasted "wet" from all the toppings. Shows the topics are fresh, but the burger patty itself was not standing out. This is supposed to be a bit of a big mac reproduction, but it missed that mark a bit. Bun had a good crispiness to it as well. Bacon Cheeseburger was good according to my son. He chowed it down pretty quick and was happy. Fries were great, I liked them more than my Murf Burger.
Environment: Lots of the tables are wobbly, we had to move between 2-3 tables to find one that was not. When we got there, lots of tables were dirty, while we wait, someone came out to wipe them down and swept up. Not sure what cadence they do this, but it is not immediate as people leave, despite there being ample people working.
Overall: Burgers are a great value for money. Custard is an OK value for money, a bit pricey compared to the food. But less expensive than what I've seen at...
