Very disappointed in my experience here. Had a friend recommend it and have been waiting to try it out. I’ll have to stick to my regular spot. Got the vindaloo chicken as I do every Indian restaurant. It was okay. Hubby got the mix tandoori grill which was very flavorless and extremely dry…definitely not worth the $25 for his entree. He said he thought it was reheated old meat. It came on a cast iron plate that sizzled for maybe 5 seconds. Any place I’ve been to regardless of type of food being served on this type of plate stayed hot and sizzled for more than a few seconds. We both ordered our food with medium spice and there was no spice, mild at best. His plate came out first. Mine came out about 5+ mins later with the rice. He wouldn’t eat without the rice or without my dish so it was cold. Should’ve all came together.

When I ordered my soda, I asked if the Fanta was orange flavored and he had no clue. The menu didn’t mention if there were refills. Usually when I don’t see “can” or “bottle” it is presumed to be free refills…especially since they serve you the soda half full of ice in a (maybe 6-8oz) stemmed glass. I ordered a refill and was charged for it. The fact my soda was $8 for 2 glasses and my husband had 2 beers for $10 is ridiculous.

The inside was nice, furniture was well maintained, looked elegant.

I’ll never go again but now I don’t have to wonder if it’s better than my regular spot. Our waiter barely checked on us. We almost went to the bar to ask for another drink. We’re normally extremely good tippers, 30-100% tips. We gave him 15% just as a courtesy but he definitely did not...

Went to India Garden for lunch with a friend.

We were promptly seated and directed to the buffet. On my first plate I had Gobi Manchurian, Butter Chicken and Goat Curry along with some bahtoora (fried bread). The waitress brought us a basket of fresh naan.

The Manchurian was tasty but not the best I’ve had, 3/5 - butter chicken was a 4/5 and the goat curry was a 3/5. Bahtoora was a little dried out since it’s a buffet 3/5

When I went back up I tried a couple other dishes that I cannot remember the names of but one of them was delicious 5/5

The dessert bar had some little pastry dumplings that tasted like bread pudding and also had homemade ice cream, dessert bar was 5/5

One thing I noticed that came into play later - when they refilled the buffet they would just dump the new fresh dishes atop the old stuff. Probably not a huge deal since the place was packed and things cycled through but it stands to reason that old stuff stays out.

Flash forward a day and my stomach had some issues. I wouldn’t say food poisoning but lets say I didn’t have any problem using the bathroom. That’s usually not a problem for me with ethnic food as I eat lots of it.

If I were grading solely on the food/buffet without considering that last point I’d give it a soft 4/5 but considering the food safety issues, I’d...

India Garden is just wonderful.

The atmosphere is vibrant, and noisy with friends and family groups enjoying the moments of being with each other. So much conversation and laughter. No phones out (except me snapping pics of my food). A wonderful community of people.

Our server was sweet and very attentive. She refilled our water glasses without being asked, cleared dishes as they were emptied, asked if we wanted other beverage refills, and made sure we were enjoying our lunch. They process credit cards right at the table instead of walking away with your card. Love that.

The food is just amazing. They have a lunch buffet, which my three friends all opted to try. One of the photos is of one plate with a mass variety of the items selected from the buffet. I don't eat a lot so buffets are not a financially wise choice. I ordered off the menu and chose to start with Garlic and Cheese Naan, and then had the Tandoori Chicken which is served with Basmati Rice. SO good! I had never had Tandoori before so I didn't know it was served on a sizzling platter with peppers and onions. As always, way too much to consume in one sitting so I have two more meals in my fridge.

I definitely recommend for authentic Indian food. You won't be...

recently had the pleasure of dining at India Garden, and words can hardly capture how delightful the experience was. We ordered a combo meal, initially expecting modest portions since it was labeled for two. To our surprise, it was more than enough to satisfy three of us with plenty left over. The generous portions were complemented by the delicious flavors, though some dishes could have used a touch more salt. The ambiance of the restaurant was captivating, featuring calming ambient lighting and soothing background music that added to the overall pleasant atmosphere. Service was exceptional—attentive and friendly staff made us feel truly welcome. However, the highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the Rasmalai. It was, without exaggeration, one of the best I’ve ever had, leaving a lasting impression. Also we had all this food for 60$ which is really good prices! I now understand why this restaurant comes so highly recommended on Reddit and by others. If you're looking for not just a meal but a memorable dining experience, I strongly encourage you to support this fantastic establishment!
