Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Brookhaven

I live down the street and have been to this Rita’s multiple times and never had an issue. The staff is always sweet and obviously work hard. However, I highly recommend not ordering the ice cream sandwiches… they are made ahead of time, which is odd to me. If you can put custard on a cone, you can put it on a cookie. It was so extremely hard that both my husband and I could not physically bite it. After it did thaw enough to be eaten, it had an odd mint taste with certain bites, and the chocolate chips were also frozen solid and made it hard to eat.
