Zesto Drive In — Restaurant in Brookings Township

This was my first time ever trying Zesto. Immediately upon coming up to the counter, the lady working glared at my boyfriend and me. When my boyfriend started ordering, she rolled her eyes at him. Mind you, my boyfriend has a really bad stutter and has a hard time getting words out. She was extremely rude to him the duration of him ordering. When I ordered, she asked if I wanted a combo with my burger. I said yes, she asked what size, I said medium. She refused to read our order back to us when we were done, but we paid anyway. She did not give us our receipt or the drink that came with my combo. When my boyfriend went back up to get my cup, she tried charging him again even though we already paid for my combo. He paid anyway. She still had not looked for our old receipt in their system to see what we originally ordered even though we ordered like 30 seconds prior. Finally our food came, but it was missing my fries that came with my combo. When my boyfriend went up a second time to inquire about my fries, she said I didn’t get a combo meal and then went to look back at our receipt in the system. It showed that we didn’t order a combo, even though I said I wanted one. She tried making him pay AGAIN for her mistake. I told him not to and to just sit down so we could eat. She tried saying that because he ordered an avalanche ice cream treat, he couldn’t get a combo, even though the combo was for MY burger, not his. His order was entirely separate from mine as we both made it clear when we ordered our own food. I tried clarifying this with her and she got upset and rolled her eyes. I gave up. Later, she messed up another order. The guy wanted his meal to go—he said this while he ordered (we were at table closest to the cash register so I heard and saw everything)—but she didn’t ring it up that way and had his order as a dine-in and then tried telling her coworkers after he left that the guy didn’t specify he wanted his meal to go, when he clearly did. And of course these workers don’t have name tags, so I have no clue what her name is. All I know is that she is extremely rude to customers, messes up their order, tries DOUBLE CHARGING THEM FOR HER MISTAKES, and puts the blame on the customers. This could’ve been avoided if she read our order back to us and handed us our receipt the first time. Needless to say, we will not be back, which is disappointing because I was looking forward to trying Zesto as we just moved to town and our friends kept recommending it. I will not be recommending this establishment to anyone. I’m disappointed, and the manager in charge was right there, letting it happen, knowing I was frustrated but he didn’t want to step in. I worked fast food for four years not too long ago and know firsthand that everything she did was wrong. Again, we WILL NOT be back and I WILL NOT be recommending this place again. I don’t even feel comfortable giving it 1 star, but Google says I have to anyway. Poor service and poor...

First time ever going to Zesto. Encountered four employees during this time through the drive-thru. Took some time to look at the menu ( first time, again) and felt like we were being rushed after I said one minute please. So rushed that Two employees came over the intercom and asked what they could get for me. I was the only person in line at this time. I had two separate orders, as i was with a friend. Got to the window and was asked to pull forward for my second order. The lady didn't ask for me to pay for the second order until i was already half way pulled forward and i could not back up because there were cars behind me. Was asked to pull forward for a second time, so i pulled into a parking space so i would be out of the way. The guy that brought me the food for the second order through the food at me, and stormed off. I even stated " thank you" and was ignored. Will not be going back!!!!!! I also never do this, but all the employees were no where near nice and the quantity of food for the price was not worth it. I also asked for honey mustard twice and did...

I just got done eating here. As I was eating my burger and fries and sipping on my chocolate shake I was watching the girl at the register (less than pleasant) make shakes and cones etc. When she would get done making a shake she would take a white rag and wipe down the cup, the counter and the shake machine with that same white rag! Also I witnessed her eat out of the selections of toppings to choose from! All of this while your number cards you get they were putting into a tub to clean before each customer!
