I used to order all the time from this place from 2018- 2022 it was nothing like it is now. I stopped by in the middle of a ride around Boston for my own recreation, saying to myself it should be better than my orders since it won't be packaged. I was completely wrong. The fried tofu triangles had no flavor whatsoever. The rice was spicy as usual, but the quality with flavor just wasn't there. I ate in, and when I was done I piled my plates on top of each other so the table won't be a mess, and it would be picked up earlier. I did that more out of respect. There was a 25%tip I added when I placed and paid for the order. I was out the restaurant door sitting on my motorcycle warming it up when the cashier comes telling me excuse me we usually pick up the plates and pointed to where they go by the door. There's no signs saying to please pick up plates and locate them on a bin when done eating. It's a sit down restaurant, and it's not common in any restaurant you sit down at especially after tipping to pick up plates and store them in a specific location. I'm sure this place has a new owner or management, and they need improvement, especially with respect. Most people that dine in are college students, and they must feel like they are providing services for free or not enough when that is not a case. The food is not priced below average, so they was out of place calling me back in to relocate my dishes I piled up on the Conner of the table, especially after I left a tip. I went back in and picked up the dishes because I was given a free homemade ice tea, but it was only giving to me because there's a 10$ minimum and I had already paid, so they probably would have paid more in fees than profit. It wasn't just given to me because they are awesome, they don't even have for someone that dines in, tips, and at least piles up the table dishes. There's much better restaurants, this place...

Walked here and back from my hotel with takeout. Had basil rice with chicken and pad woon sen. Ordered the 10/5 spice on both, and let me say, they certainly know how to make it hot enough to make you see Death staring back at you from the corner of the room. I had to pay extra for it, and maybe it's not worth it for most people, but it was worth it for me, and the rest of the prices were in-line with what I'm used to in Indianapolis (which has a surprisingly large Thailand population.)

Unfortunately, there wasn't really much flavor in my meals. The basil rice was being carried hard by the bell peppers in it, and otherwise was bland and had no basil flavor to it. The pad was definitely more flavorful, but it still felt like it was missing both nuance and punch. I'll have the rest of the pad tomorrow at breakfast, but mostly because I paid for it and because I'm not allergic to it. I fairly regularly make yellow curry at home, alongside various rice and noodle dishes, and I'm sorry to say that I've had incredible meals from my own two hands that this kitchen is missing out on.

Maybe Boston doesn't have a big Thai community, I dunno. In Orlando and Indianapolis, there were both big Thai communities and unforgettable restaurants. Here and in San Francisco, where the population is mostly Chinese and Filipino, Thai feels like an afterthought. If I was willing to walk the forty minutes and wait in line for another hour for the nearby Sichuan restaurant, I'm sure I would have had a great time, but I have an itinerary I'm...

This place isn't the same anymore. It probably has new owners or management. I used to order deliveries from doordash and the food was always good, even after the food sitting from delivery time. I stopped by today with a friend and I was disappointed. Tofu triangles was wack, no flavor whatsoever, the basil rice was spicy and that's all it had for flavor. I tipped 25% when I placed and paid for the order, and was called back into the restaurant after I left the door to remove my dishes from the table. I had pilled them on the table. I did that out of respect. I had left a tip, and there's no signs saying to clear table after dine in. I've never seen or heard of a restaurant asking to clear table, especially after tipping. This place isn't giving discounted food to be requesting uncommon things like that, especially without even having it posted. They lacking in respect, and in management ! There's better restaurants, this one these days is just for college students that don't know better in Boston. They lost me...

Boston’s Ultimate Thai Food Guide 1⃣️ Even Lisa Would Want to Check It Out

So, flat out, the food was phenomenal. The flavor was fresh, authentic to Thai standard, and everything mixed very well. Not too much of any one flavor, everything intermingled beautifully. The thing I want to highlight overall was the portioning. For what you pay compared to other restaurants these days, the portion is outstanding. Absolutely amazing. There was enough where I was full and could've still taken half home, but I decided to stay and fit the rest in as it was a nice atmosphere. To find a place that gives you more than you paid for is a rare situation these days, and this place excelled in that regard. The taste alone is on par with any other Thai location, but the price/portion is above the rest. ** Only negative I would mention is the Thai iced tea tasting a bit too creamy and being a little expensive for the quality/portion you get, but that's not really anything different from elsewhere, nowadays Thai tea is expensive.

Kao Nah Ped, which is the duck rice plate with thick sweet soy sauce over Chinese broccoli and a hard boiled egg was my favorite dish from here for years. There was an employee who would tease me about getting the same dish every time. I miss her. Nowadays, there are younger employees who speak better English, but they don't have the magic like the older lady. Kah Prao with pork is also a dish I like. It's minced meat with basil. The soups, salads, desserts are great tasting as well. Reasonable prices and quick service. Customers bus their own tables. I first came to Nud Pob in 2001 when it was in a different location on Comm Ave, about - block east. Customers had to walk down stairs into a very cramped space. This location is such an improvement in terms of space, seating, and temperature, and the place takes credit cards now, just not amex.
