They carry mostly authentic Asian foods and beverages. They carry American food and beverages as well but, just the basics. They are open every day from 9am to 9pm including holidays. They have a decent selection of fresh fruits and vegetables both Asian and American. They also carry fresh flower bouquets ranging in price from $5.99,$12.99 and $21.99. The flowers are usually in season and kept well. The meat selection is wide and seems to be very fresh. I've tried the meat once and it was very good. The American products are very pricey. They also carry a wide selection of Hello Kitty products and toys. I've noticed they carry face masks and other house items. They also sell warmed yams and sweet potatoes. They have a small section near the service desk with fresh bakery products too both Asian and American items. The milk and eggs I feel are extremely expensive. They don't carry ice either. Cases of soda are $12 or single cans are $2 a piece. The beverage isle has a huge selection of juices and coffee drinks mostly Asian but some American. The cashier's are usually rude they speak Spanish and are usually conversing with one another during your transaction. The male employees that I've noticed that do work there are usually...
Read moreI happened to be in Boston downtown area, so I stopped by Hmart Brookline to get something to eat before I was ready to head home. I liked this Hmart during the grand opening period. Huge mistake. My onigiri /triangle gimbop was frozen and not edible! I also bought some ingredients to make some Korean food at home. Everything is 50c-$1 more expensive than Burlington Hmart. Nothing is really on sale. Cashers don't understand English very well when I asked about plastic forks or wooden chopsticks for bento. Almost all of them spoke Spanish to each other, and I don't know if they speak any Asian languages if they can't understand or speak English very well.
I will just drive more and go to Burlington Hmart.. food is much better there and there are better deals available.
Update: even though I heat up hmart triangle /samgak gimbop aka onigiri, it tastes really bad. I tried both pork tuna. Both are disgusting. I ended up throwing them away. What a waste of $3.99 x2. I will never get them at hmart. Maruichi is where I get onigiri usually and I will keep going there for bento and onigiri.
In my shopping bag, things got bagged terribly and some of my products leaked and made a mess in my car. I'm taking off one more star, so it's 1...
Read moreGreat store. The variety is much better than I thought would be available. The produce, the pre-prepped section with veggies, meats, seafood, sauces. Items like marinated eggs, marinated tofu. A great grab and go noodle bowl for $8 which could easily serve 2-3. Sushi section, Kimchi section, prepped seafood section, frozen and fresh meats.
An enormous variety of soy sauce, hoisin, fish sauce, noodles, meats and seafood. And- so many other things you may not imagine like standard grocery items like nutella, crackers, chips, milk, eggs, spices (eg basil, dill, onion powder), personal hygiene products, pans, utensils, various kitchen gadgets. This is a great sized grocery store ( smaller than regular). Easy to navigate, well laid out, well lit. You can truly do a full grocery shopping here, not just for specialty items.
Customer service was a bit nonexistent. Not unpleasant but no one engaging with me or assisting with my experience. I did observe at least one gentleman who appeared to be security as he lingered in the aisles and repeatedly paused to watch people. He didn't have any belongings or groceries. He nor any other uniformed employee didn't ask if we needed any help. Cashier didn't engage at all other than to ask if we...
