Amory Playground — Attraction in Brookline

I like this place. Used to come here to eat lunch all the time when i worked nearby. There are always people tanning/playing sports out here when it’s sunny. Cute place to chill and hang out, maybe bring a blanket and have a picnic. Great place for dogs to play around with other dogs. However, this one time i went there and some sheriff looking person in a tophat told me i had to keep my dog leashed. It’s… a park(?). Then some girl and her dad were selling lemonade for 3 DOLLARS. Inflation is rough....

Some aggressive dogs here. We’ve taken our 6 month old golden retriever here twice and within the last week he’s been attacked 3 times by 3 different golden doodles. Most of the dog owners here and their dogs are great, but there are definitely some dogs here with inattentive owners who are not well trained and cannot play nice with other dogs. I used to think this place was a perfectly safe dog park but now I am questioning even bringing my dog back. Just keep that in mind when thinking of taking...

Dogs are allowed off-leash by the town of Brookline from dawn till 1:00 PM. There is no fence so if your dog likes to run off this isn’t the place for off-leash.
