Last week, I ordered lunch since I work close by. I ordered the General Tso's cauliflower. I have mixed feelings....Firstly, I am unclear as to why [this long into CV], restaurants still package food in a way that compromises quality. Anyone who enjoys fried foods understands the texture of the surface area matters and these nuggets were smooth, akin to fried chicken fingers you order at a Chinese place. So we are starting with zero crunch and minimal crispness. To complement this, it was submerged in sauce that looked like it was forgotten and then thrown on when they saw me. In terms of taste, the sauce has no spice I could detect [I admit I enjoy a healthy dose of spice] and was so sweet, I remembered to schedule my annual. If you have glucose concerns, beware. I could only stomach 3 pieces for lunch. I removed the pieces from the sauce immediately to take home and I will say these re-heated fairly well in the toaster oven-DO NOT microwave these unless you enjoy soggy vegetables. I would suggest ordering with sauce on the side, even if you are having it fresh at the restaurant. With less sauce, these were actually decent. I will order again with the modifications. Some foods just do not travel well and I always appreciate the restaurants that choose to offer a restricted delivery menu to secure quality. I know most people would probably be upset but is it not more upsetting to pay service/delivery/tip charges for less than par orders? The surprise of my order was a complimentary treat...I initially thought it was a breadstick. IT WAS A RICE KRISPY TREAT!!! I guess this comes with an order as I did not choose it and it was really a lovely...
Read moreI’ve become so highly addicted to this place that I’ve ordered here 1-2 times a week since the winter weather started! They’re the best cold, rainy weather treat on a Friday after a tough week. The Impossible Burger Pizza is as remarkable as the hype suggests by locals on social media! I noticed, though, that even when asking for extra vegan cheese, the pizzas still contain very, very little cheese. I wonder if that’s just the style of their chefs?
The staff here are great. The woman who answers the phone is always so friendly and upbeat and accommodating. The team that runs your card to pay when you go to pick up are always friendly even when orders are coming in like crazy and there’s no end in sight. Our orders have always been ready by the time we arrive 25 minutes later.
In hindsight, I’ve become quite upset that in all of our orders — which are requested to be completely vegan — they include a mini Rice Krispy-esque treat in the bag. This treat is not vegan, which their social media account informed me. I had to inquire on Instagram, and was told it was a mistake, one which happened over and over and over again to us. So unfortunately, you still must be vigilant as a vegan and inquire if every aspect of your meal is...
Read moreI normally wouldn't complain but...
I ordered takeout and arrived 5 minutes after estimated "ready for pickup". The host checked me off in the system then went back to look at something. A few people passed and went to the bar but there wasn't people waiting to sit down. I noticed a few other people waiting so I went and stood behind them. The hostess went and got their orderers and then went back to the podium and continued with whatever she was doing. Now I have been in the serving industry before, I get the craziness. But there was no line for takeout or dine in, just me. So I went and asked her how long for my order and she said I don't know I have to go check. At this point I am thinking why didn't she check when she was back there getting the other orders? Just ask the chefs how long on a's order? Anyway she went back and immediatly came back with mine.
The pizza was warm but not straight out of the oven hot so it was definitly sitting for a while. The pizza itself was okay but tasted dry like they forgot the sauce even though I could see the sauce on the pizza? I've been to both locations and have never had such a poor experience like...
