I was initially excited to visit this Taco Bell after seeing some news stories about it when it opened. I ordered my meal at the drive thru which included Nachos. When I received my order the chips had not been included in the bag. I looked at the cheese cup and it appeared to be only half full. I told them about the missing chips and the half full cup of cheese. They agreed to give me the chips that I ordered but declined to give me more cheese and made me purchase another cheese cup for 86 cents. When they finally gave me the chips there was only like 5 chips in the bag and the 86 cent cheese cup I purchased was also only half full. The manager girl calmy informed me that they only do 2 squirts of cheese per cup. After showing them the small amount of chips they gave me they begrudgingly gave me another bag of chips that was decently full. I told the manager how I was extremely dissatisfied with my visit and she gave me two coupons for free Tacos. I don't really want free Taco's I just want my cheese cup to be decently full and a fair amount of chips included in my bag.
I love Taco Bell and have probably visited Taco Bell more than 150 times in my life. This was the only bad experience I have ever had at Taco Bell. I think this location is penny wise but pound foolish. They would rather screw a customer out of ten cents worth of cheese and chips and lose that customer for life than just give them what every other Taco Bell does. Decent service, Decent food at a...
Read moreThe fun part about eating at defy is I never know whose order I'm going to get. Ive been coming here very regularly since it opened and it's always been the same. This place is a major scam, they always make the drive through orders first so ordering on the app is always slower. I have pulled up to scan my phone with 1 car in the drive through, and somehow 3 cars in the drive thru drive off before I get my food. This happens so regularly I'm convinced it's policy. And the issue compounds the more busy it is resulting in insanely long wait times. Then it's a coin flip if they get your order correct or even care to. The other day I ordered only a double stacked taco and a Baja blast, and they forgot my drink. I pressed the help button multiple times over a few minutes and never got any help so I eventually gave up. One time when they were out of Baja blast they sent me down some disgusting watered down Baja blast leftovers and a coupon that said "we are sorry here's a free taco on your next meal". instead just offering me an alternative they knowingly sent me down some terrible drink. Just awful service, they can't do the absolute minimum of getting your order correct most of the time, and then fail to make it right. This place sucks overall, and you can find other similar reviews. Literally any of the other closest taco bells are...
Read moreI have continually been disappointed by the terrible food quality at Taco Bell Defy in Brooklyn Park. Even with two prior experiences with the taco shells being completely cracked, my wife and I gave them another chance last weekend.
Upon returning home just 5 minutes after picking up our dinner, we unwrapped the hard & soft shell tacos, revealing that they were all wet. This was likely from either sitting too long or too much moisture in whatever containers they use to store their shells.
Regardless, as you can see in the photo I included in my review, the hard shell tacos were so moist, that the shells were completely broken across the bottom. There's no way to eat something like this cleanly, so I had to eat them like pizza. It was a total mess and very disappointing.
Keep in mind, I'm a HUGE taco fan and will eat tacos from anywhere. Even mediocre tacos are fine by me, but this is just unacceptable. We normally pick up from the other Taco Bell in Brooklyn Park and have never had such consistent problems with their food quality as we've had with Taco Bell Defy.
I've submitted feedback to Corporate but haven't received a response. Don't let the novelty of this new Taco Bell concept fool you... let my repeated experiences serve as a warning to find another location the next time you're...
