Giving 5 stars so this review is posted ! I got my nails done here 10 days ago today for the first time ever and I paid $70 for a full set of medium length nails with classic french design . Immediately I thought that was a bit pricy but I overlooked it as I’ve paid similar prices at other shops before . Kim did my nails and she was very friendly but she definitely rushed on my set I was in the chair for about 20-30 minutes for the entire service. She told me she was using a pink/nude powder opposed to gel for my French base instead of asking me was that okay , and she rushed on the French design completely as the white is bleeding into the nude powder that she used leaving streaks . When I spoke up about it she told me to come back next time and ask for her and she will give me a discount but didn’t fix them . I left not loving my nails but they were okay. After about a week the nude powder she used is turning a green brownish color in certain spots and almost all of my nails are lifting at cuticle to where I could pop them off like press ons . I have been getting my nails done for years and I know to be gentle with them I believe this was just due to poor application and her rushing through the process . Now I have to spend unnecessary money to either get these off and get a whole new set or go some where else for them...
Read moreVery clean and nice new salon! Everyone was so friendly and I was able to make an appointment online via messenger which I loved.
A few things were not great which is why I gave three stars. The woman doing my nails was so friendly and kept asking if everything looked okay. She checked my nail shape and length with such detail! However, she did no actual manicuring, only filing. She removed my dip polish, filed my nails and put on the new dip. She didn’t push back my cuticles or trim my nail beds at all. My nails needed this extra care and they didn’t get it. I did not get any hand massage at all. I know she wasn’t at her normal station and didn’t have all her normal tools so I am hoping next time this won’t be a problem at all!
My friend and i made appointments together and walked in together but they still didn’t seat us next to each other. There was an elderly woman not getting her nails done sitting next to her daughter who was getting her nails done. If they could have moved the non paying customer, we could have sat next to each other while getting our manicures.
As you can see in the photos, I have some unevenness, waves and bubbles/bumps. Again, I think this was because my manicurist didn’t have her normal tools and they just opened.
So I am going back again in a few weeks to give...
Read moreI had my nails done today at Nail Ink and it was so painful. I have my nails done regularly and it has never been this painful. What was worse was when I expressed my pain to the nail technician she would chuckle. She had sharp long nails and kept digging her nails into my fingers. I had to correct her a few times on my French tip manicure and tried to explain I prefer thicker French tip on my hands and she insisted she wasn’t done and wouldn’t listen. So I waited and when she was done I still had the same feedback for her so she had to do them over. She become so rough at that point and dug her nail into my finger twice in the same spot even after I yelped. I was so upset I finally had to stop her and demand she stop hurting me. I told her your nails are long and sharp ma’am and you keep digging your nails into me. My friends were getting their nails done next to me and believed she was doing it on purpose b/c she didn’t like to be correct and we’re very upset by how I was being treated —they didn’t even want me to pay and be done. Even though I was so visibly upset and in pain and expressed my anger to her she did not apologize but continued talking to the other nail technicians and laughing. I will never come back her or recommend this...
