Being a student at Rasmussen is one of the most rewarding experiences in my entire life.I remember when I first started I had posted this comment on Facebook, "Faith is taking that first step without seeing the staircase." And this is how I actually felt because I had no idea what was in store for me. All I knew that I had made a decision to go back to school to acquire a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education Leadership and it would be done online. Talking of being unprepared well there I was with a whole new scenario of new learning platforms and I had no idea how to start. My biggest fear was APA format! As I looked back where and how I was when I started to where I am now and how I am feeling I just want to say that I couldn't have done it alone. Well, I should rephrase that, I did it by myself but Rasmussen was every step of the way with me and this includes the teaching and grading instructors, my advisor, admission staff, and personal support center. Even though rewarding it was very challenging but at no time I thought of quitting or take a break. I was faced with numerous problems but I kept going because giving up is not my style and I think that's one of the reasons for being successful. I have learned so much through these classes that I am so grateful for. Getting an A for me means that I understand what I did and I can apply it in the classroom or wherever the need arises. I have two more terms to complete what I had started and I know by working diligently I will...
Read moreWhen I first started looking into going back to school, It was overwhelming and I felt unsure. I called several schools and Rasmussen was by far the most helpful. They made my decision to go back to school a smooth one. The admissions staff, and counselors were there every step of the way encouraging me and getting me comfortable. They helped with credit transfers, picking classes and much more. I felt very comfortable starting my classes, and I had amazing teachers and learned so much. I graduated and it was the best feeling ever. During my time as a student at Rasmussen, I had the opportunity to do work Study as well. This was another amazing experience through Rasmussen University. I was able to work and study during my downtime at work. It was an fun job, I learned so much, and I was able to help other students and staff and use my free time to get my homework done. It was such a great experience. The staff I worked with were so supportive, helpful, encouraging, and positive. I would highly recommend work-study to anyone who has the opportunity. It made such a positive difference in my life. I have only great things to say about Rasmussen University and my work-study experience, and I hope you have the chance to...
Read moreWhen I first applied to Rasmussen it was a great experience. Advisors, admission staff and counselors supplied all the resources and answer all of my questions in a timely manner. But once starting the program it was a completely different story. Advisors and admissions no longer were able to help you. If you had any problems you were to address the dean. The dean would ignore or take almost a week to answer urgent needs. The program is very disorganized. I have been in a nursing program before that was very organized and coordinated. Which Rasmussen is not. There is no communication between staff and students. As an LPN entering the LPN to RN program I was still placed in my one and only on site clinical in a long term care facility where I did not learn any new skills. I continued the skills I use daily at my job. The amount of money paid at Rasmussen is higher than other places which I would expect the quality of learning than other facilities but actually found worse. Schedule changes even once school has started, even a couple weeks into school. There is no respect from faculty to students. I would not recommend applying to school...
