Love the food here, but unfortunately had a not great experience last night. Our server Kaiya was not very friendly. We ordered a few cocktails and she brought a refill and didn’t give it to the person who ordered it, just set it on the edge of the table, in front of a recovering alcoholic, who mistakenly drank it thinking it was water (it was vodka and sprite and had no garnish or indication it was alcohol). we also ordered 3 pizzas and another server accidentally dropped one on the ground when bringing it to our table (which was not a big deal at all accidents happen), and Kaiya was just bad mouthing her for doing that to everyone around when it was clearly an accident. Didn’t get any plates, silverware, or napkins for our entire meal. When we finished our pizzas we asked to order some dessert, and she just said “no we’re closed”. A heads up a little bit before closing would have been nice, to get a chance to order dessert before the kitchen closed. The food here really is great, and we just moved in up the street and were excited to be able to walk down for dinner and drinks, but we unfortunately probably won’t be back after...
Read moreWow what a let down !! I think I understand what Proto’s is aiming for BUT they have missed the target completely. Ambiance is average to dull and reminds me of a backstreet Varsity venue where you hang out with your friends after a night of drinking.
To better inform future clients, the word pizza is use of poetic licence, it’s more accurately a focaccia restaurant, making the prices charged astronomical, maybe they try justify the daylight robbery by instead of using herbs they use VERY conservative sprinkling of cheese and chunks of tomato in the middle of the focaccia with the outside 3 inches of the large size just dry crust ! Even plain garlic butter would have at least made it a little more palatable.
The real pity is that Arista could really do with a great pizza restaurant ?? If someone makes a good pizza I’m sure that the take out would surpass its sit-in’s as a matter of fact with every residence in walking distance of the restaurant delivery would hit unprecedented heights but for now, sadly, I’d recommend that you drive the extra mile to iPie where they make great pizza’s whenever You want to avoid big...

I took it home and finished baking it at home which was really easy. I requested two items be taken off salad and they were and added mushrooms and bell peppers on the salad and only got peppers. I asked for extra sauce and they forgot to send it home with me. The pizza was a little dry not enough sauce. The pizza had too many chili pepper flakes and ithe pizza was too hot. We enjoyed the sausage and pepperoni. Good flavor. I like all the fresh ingredients. If we had eaten in, I could have gotten more sauce. I love pizza. This was better than many places up north. It wasn't greasy. I think the advantages outweigh the cons. I would recommend it. I recommend not putting on chilli flakes or a different pizza. There are many choices. My lips are still burning. Had red wine while I waited. It was pretty good. I am sure I will go again, just will order...
