I ordered three 18" pizza's easy sauce, extra cheese. Imagine my surprise when I picked them up and they were easy cheese. The printed tag did show easy cheese, but also has XX Cheese, two times on it. I had issues ordering but when I got home and looked at my laptop it did indeed show easy, easy sauce, X-tra cheese. I drive almost 30 minutes each way for this pizza and knew everyone would be disappointed in what I would be bringing home. The pizza was all sauce, which I'm allergic to, hence the instruction of easy, easy sauce, (it's on every order I've placed at Rosati's). The person behind the counter, possibly the owner, told me he wouldn't make me replacement pizza's, which flabbergasted me! He had conflicting instructions on his sheet, yet was insistent it was okay to pick one and follow that instruction. A phone call to clear up any confusion would've been great. But I honestly believe he never even saw the extra, extra cheese notice until I pointed it out. Pretty sure I got charged for that though! Which has me questioning whether anybody there EVER looks at requests for extra ingredients, unless you physically write those instructions. The amount of money it would've cost to remake those pizza's irregardless of where the miscommunication error was, is a pittance compared to the lost business between myself and my son ( we take turns driving/paying) at $60-$100 each visit. I brought the pizza's home lifted the little bit of cheese on it and scraped the sauce off. Basically I ate crust with a sprinkle of cheese. To top it off one of the pizza's was loaded with bubbles!
I'm from Chicago, I eat at the original Rosati's! For a location that is trying to turn itself around and save the store, a little customer service (and appreciation that someone is willing to drive that far, for your pizza,) in this situation would've gone a long way in keeping a long time...
Read moreMy wife and I grew up loving Rosatis in the Chicago suburbs, and I even worked there making pizzas, so I just can’t understand why the pizza is soo inconsistent. When the cooks are on, it’s lights out delicious which keeps us coming back, but that’s only about half the time. They are clearly having a hard time finding and keeping quality employees who care about the products they put out. It’s sad to see all the negative reviews from people who have never had Rosati’s before and think that what they are eating is representative of what was built in Chicago. Quality control should be a top priority at this location. We’ll continue to order here in hopes that the pizza is made correctly!
Edit- I decided to give Rosati’s another chance to give me a 5 star experience and ordered 2 Chicago style hot dogs and a meatball sandwich at 7:05 PM on 5/23. Both hot dogs were cold and served on an extremely stale bun, not steamed like a true Chicago dog which what is advertised from the menu. They left off the pickle spears and side salad which I ordered instead of fries as well.
Paying $8.00 for a cold stale hotdog is unacceptable, and Rosati’s has been bumped from 2 stars to 1 for not addressing their staffing and quality control issues.
This location already closed once for their inconsistency and leaving the store to be run by kids who just don’t care and I wouldn’t be surprised if they close again. Rosati’s Broomfield is a pathetic representation of Chicago food and I wish they would remove anything Chicago from their decor and menu. Don’t waste your time and money to support this business, I know I...
Read moreWe've gone to Rosati's for many years, all the way back to Chicago, where we're from. When the old Rosati's was here in Colorado, it was wonderful. We ate there all the time, did their catering for parties. It was the Rosati's we've known for over 30 years.
Today was the worst experience ever.
We were excited when this one opened. But our experience has been awful. We never know how the pizza will be from visit to visit. Sometimes it's been okay, and sometimes it's been awful. Never like the Rosati's we once loved.
Today we called 15 minutes before arriving to put our order in for four Italian beefs and a large thin crust pizza. About 10 minutes after we arrived, the pizza was served to us. It was pretty good this time, not as good as Rosati's usually is, but it was still good.
We waited and waited for our Italian beefs. It ended up being almost an hour from the time we called until the sandwiches were served, and they were awful. We love Rosati's Italian beefs and they've always been good. The bread was cold, and not good. My husband said it's the worst Italian beef he ever had. I agree. Horrible.
They gave us a 20% discount because we had to wait so long, but it still wasn't even close to worth what we paid.
The last time we went, they got our order completely wrong, that's a whole other story.
This location needs to get their act together or shut down. They're giving Rosati's a bad name. It's...
