Let's dive on into this and add another critically acclaimed review to this vendor.
Typically in my Sling Blade voice, "I reckon me and the boys will head down to the ol'Fatty Patties for a brew or two."
Queue the John Cena entrance for my liver, the time is now! Sat down, proceeded to order some tall cold ones and realized it's the dreaded "thirsty hour". I'll explain, and it's not the thirsty hour you might be thinkin' of. This type of thirsty is the gentlemen hanging around after lunch at the bar with one of them good'ol buzzes blowing their shots at the bar tender, hence the term "thirsty". During thirsty hour, typically 1pm to 4pm, beer service drops off significantly for everyone located outside the Thirsty Zone™️ due to her entertaining each offer.
In theory, 100 beers poured an hour (bph) is an achievable goal. Anything over 100bph is now City Bar level bar tender status. I would assume this young woman can accomplish 100bph+ when pushed, remember this is just a theory. When thirsty hours hits, her production falls to about 1/5th or 20bph and is directed towards the thirsty zone. On average, customers outside the thirsty zone wait approx 10min for another brewski.
Pending your servers attention to detail, they are able to counteract thirsty hour by staying ahead of the bar tender zoned out in one of Rod Serlings episodes.
Unfortunately this has become the normal and my customers have even commented on the drop in bph. 1 star given for excellent food, 1 star given for cold beers and 1 star given for staff.... for a total of 3 stars. Great family friendly restaurant but I'd recommend taking clients and friends for a few business cold pops to another location during...
Read moreIt has so much potential! We were so excited to check this place out. We were seated right away. Drinks came with 5 minutes. We ordered our food when our drinks came. While waiting on four grilled chicken wraps and one hot dog all with a side of fries the boys went to play corn hole. There were no bean bags. When inquiring We were told there were no bean bags. The large Connect Four was working for multiple people who tried it. The disk just fell to the ground. We were seated at the only table anytime there was a break in the clouds it became very hot. Our waitress did NOT come back to check on us for OVER FORTY MINUTES. I know this because I text and called my oldest son when we got there. I also took pictures. We sat there over forty minutes with no service and no food. Maybe the waitress was having a sad day. She was not rude, just indifferent. Once the food finally arrived - note sitting on high metal bar stools with no back for long periods of time is less than comfortable. We wanted to request to be moved. As I stated before our waitress was MIA- the food was LAVA HOT. At least it wasn't cold. The boys described it "MID at BEST". I have to admit it wasn't great. To make this visit so much better one of the boys had hair in his wrap. The manager and waitress both apologized and it was taken off our bill. The manager did offer something else to replace - after hair in the food you kinda loose your appetite. As you can see by the photos the boys did not enjoy themselves. Wait they did enjoy a round of the basketball shooting game when we...
Read moreThe place is a really nice setup for drinks and sports with several TV’s mounted all about. The waitress and service was good, the restaurant was clean.
Regarding the quality of food for the price, I was disappointed as our entire order consisted of 2 hamburgers, 1 oriental salad with tuna, 1 order of wings and 4 glasses of wine for a total of $116, with the addition of a $20 tip the total was $136 which in my opinion is overpriced for this type of meal.
My initial impression of Fat Pats was that it was a restaurant where you would expect a premium type of hamburger such as other burger places that allow you to select how you prefer your burger cooked whether it be rare, medium or well done but all the burgers here are served well done which as you know is a dry burger. When any meat is cooked well done, all of the juices have been completely cooked out of the meat. Overall the burgers were “ok” but nothing special and perhaps one level above the Whopper at Burger King.
I was optimistic that Fat Pats would have had exceptional hamburgers because it’s about 2 miles from my home which would have made it a convenient place to dine frequently for lunch with my family but I doubt that I will ever be back.
If you’re looking for a good place to watch sports and have some drinks with typical bar food then you’ll probably enjoy but don’t expect anything above typical, it’s just an average bar/restaurant with...
