Hong Kong Buffet — Restaurant in Broussard

75 dollars for the worst food I’ve ever eaten. My children got the mac and cheese, they said it tasted bad, I took a fork full and it was an assault on my taste buds. I don’t know what made it yellow and gooey looking but it was definitely not cheese or cream or anything in the dairy family. Everything was cold, noodles were dry, everything was rubbery, flavorless and overcooked. Even the cheese wontons were dry and old I couldn’t bite through it, it was like chewing cardboard. I just ripped it open and ate the stuff inside. My fork wouldn’t go through the hot and spicy chicken or the sesame chicken bc it was so hard same for the fried shrimp. The stuffed crab, had a cat food essence to it, I believe they’re using the lowest quality food available. I didn’t eat any of the boiled shrimp or crabs but my husband said the boiled shrimp were hard and overcooked. Other people seemed to be enjoying the crabs and snow crab legs. The vats of self serve ice cream looked unappetizing with drippy blobs and melted yuk. The ice cream scoop was sitting in dirty water with stuff floating around in it, so I didn’t get ice cream. We went at 6:30 on a Friday night, there’s no reason the food should be so old and gross. They asked at the checkout if everything was good and I said no and told them the Mac and cheese was horrible. They also charged us for four soft drinks even though we had two soft drinks and two waters. I would’ve rather gotten supper at a gas station, seriously. I kinda want to show them how to cook. To start off I wanna say the waitress was great. And nothing else was good about this place. We walked there was a nasty smell and the waterfall was disgusting had nothing but green yuk going down it. The water looked like muddy water. We got seated and was the only ones there. (1 man left as we were seated) We went to buffet. The food look yucky. But we still fix us something very litter and everything was cold, hard , or tasted weird . So the waitress came and asked us if everything was ok . We said no everything is cold and hard she said she was gunna let them know. Well she did they say they were cooking fresh for dinner well well well it is 3pm for one thing and for 2 they brought out fresh food and put the old food on top. NASTY !!!!! SO WE AT ONE LITTLE PLATE OF SALAD ON LETTUCE AND OLIVES. AND EGGS.EVERY THING ELSE WAS. STILL NOT FRESH AFTER 35 MINS WAITRESS GAVE A 10%DISCOUNT THAT WAS THOUGHT FULL BUT IT ONLY TOOK A DOLLAR OF THE 2 BUFFETS WE PAID $32 FOR THIS CRAP. O AND GAVE US A 10%OFF COUPON FOR THE NEXT TIME WE GO ....( BABY THAT WENT IN THE TRASH WE WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN)LEFT OUT THE DOOR AND NOT 2 MINS LATER STOMACH HURTS LIKE HELL ... AND NOT FEELING GOOD AT ALL...... RUINED OUR WHOLE DAY.... WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT.

And a need needless to say if you look at the big picture on the wall in the small part of the sitting area you can see mold growing on the picture and please don't look up at the ceiling like they say what goes up must come down....

Food was old… absolutely nothing was fresh … it’s like they just reheated food that sat out from the night before… absolutely nothing was fresh … $11.79 was printed on the ticket … but when we got to the counter to pay she said 16.19… I show her the ticket and she laughs …. She then asked what kind of drink did you have, I didn’t order a drink …. She says 12.79 …, my mom had a coke and was charge 16.19 .., side note I was so disappointed I was typing how horrible this place was … they also sent someone to pass by as I typed this review….I had to make some changes after leaving because of the incident at the counter … I would not recommend . … We went around lunch time … you would think everything would be hot, and made fresh and put out on the buffet …for those stopping by on their lunch break, but I was wrong… I closed my phone when noticing them looking over at me and then asking how was everything… I said it was not fresh … one of the workers kids came to play beside me as I sat there …. disappointed.. the kid put a smile on my face ……overall, I would...
