PJ's Coffee — Restaurant in Broussard

This place is shockingly slow when it comes to the speed of service. My husband and I stopped by on a Friday afternoon and ordered 2 frozen lemonades. There was 1 car in the drive thru ahead of us. We waited nearly 20 minutes and our car started overheating. So we parked and came in, and then waited another 25 minutes. When we received our “frozen” lemonades, they were just iced, not blended like a frozen lemonade should be. There was one family in the store ahead of us but they only ordered a 6 count of beignets. And they waited at least 15 minutes while we were in there so who knows how long they actually waited.

The way the coffee shop is set up you get a very clear view of what the baristas are doing. And they looked like they had no idea what they were doing. The barista making our lemonades re-blended one of them twice and added syrup to it between blends like she forgot an ingredient.

This is the second time I’ve been here. The first time I also ordered a frozen lemonade, which was made correctly, but I still waited 15 minutes in the drive thru and was the only customer at the time.

It’s a shame because their frozen lemonade is really good! Just obnoxiously...

I asked if I could get an iced matcha and they said they make it with milk. I then asked if it could be made with water and the cashier got her manager. The girl walked up then got defensive and rude, saying they only make it with milk. I asked again could it be made with water and she said no. I then asked to substitute the milk for lemonade. When it came out, the color was really light so I asked if it had milk in it and they said no. Their matcha powder must be a latte powder or contain milk, which they didn't mention. Easily consistently one of the slowest places in the area. Doesn't matter if you use the app or not. Order, give them more time, then leave to get it. Still not made. This is a regular thing. Hop in line and you're there for 10-15 minutes for maybe 2 or 3 cars total. Throw in the fact that they mess your order up sometimes too. Not worth going back anymore.

To add. Got the same coffee yesterday and today. The coffee is a completely different shade and not as strong today.

Also, the girl was pumping the syrup into the cups out of the bottle sitting on the floor. Maybe at least put it on the counter...
