I have not been here in about a year. Showed up today and ordered a medium Blizzard. And that’s when the nonsense started…
First of all…I go to pay with my card and what happens? It asks me HOW MUCH of a tip I want to leave. Not “if”. But “how much”. There wasn’t an option to not leave a tip.
Let’s get one thing straight…if you are not serving me at a table or delivering me my food at my house…you don’t get a tip. I don’t know where this entitled nonsense that just being there working entitles you to a tip came from.
You work behind a counter and just hand people food? You are doing your job. What they pay you for your work…that’s your pay. There is no “over the top” service in making an ice cream treat the way it is supposed to be made and handing it to someone. The idea that I am being pigeon holed into tipping people for non-tipping work is manipulative and sleazy. What’s next? The oil change guys are going to want a tip for changing your oil properly?
Next…I had to stand there for just under 20 minutes. Twenty….minutes. Two thirds of a half hour. Unbelievably slow. BELOW PAR service. Not exceptional in any way. Below the bar. BELOW. Did I mention the word “below” standard expectations? And I’m forced to tip for this terrible service?
Then…to add insult to injury when they finally call my name they hand me a SMALL Blizzard when I ordered a medium.
Or did they?
I alerted them to their mistake and they glibly informed me that, no, that was the actual size.
That’s right. The “baby” size has somehow been rebranded as the “small”….and the “small” size is now the “medium.” This too is deceptive.
Did I mention that they raised the prices too?
So a higher price…on a smaller item…then forced to pay a tip…on a service that rates no tip…and then forced to wait for 20 minutes to get the disappointing final results.
Could a trip...

Read moreI come here every once in a while for a sweet treat. The food is just fine mostly and the place is normally very well kept and clean. I like them because the hours are longer than others so I’m able to drop by after my work (normally 9:45-10pm) and eat here.
Tonight (Sat 21) I had just gotten off my own shift and arrived around 9:57-10:02. Someone had just droven off with their own ice cream. As I was getting out of the car, a worker ran to lock the door and turned off the lights before ducking behind the counter/kitchen?
Thinking perhaps I got the wrong times I checked online and in person—still 10:30. When the workers ducked up and down to check on me and ignore me after I knocked I was a little confused. I figured they were perhaps cleaning up or something and although I was not verbally informed I figured I would just return to my car and leave. However, when I got into my car the same worker got up and unlocked the door before turning the lights back on.
I was a lot more confused this time. I hate to give angry reviews and actually think it hurts workers when they make honest mistakes (as someone who has worked retail myself), however my managers never would have allowed this. It hurt my feelings to not even be given notice and...
