Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Brownsville

Have recently moved to this area and church’s has come in clutch when I just don’t feel like making anything at home, plus it’s a couple blocks away. The 2 for 4 is a great deal, I hope they don’t take away but perhaps add too it…like mash potatoes or Mac and cheese. I went in about 9pm and the store was clean, not busy so they are taking care of business and not just hanging around. I didn’t go to restroom so I didn’t see if it was clean there. The sandwich was good but the patty looks thinner than I remember and the boneless wings are so good but almost like popcorn chicken. But the tenderness, warm, and succulent flavor of the chicken was second to none. I prefer church’s over other chicken places in town. Really like the variety and taste of the food. The only thing I do not get are drinks because the price difference adding a drink is like ouch. So I always take out and eat at home...

The tenders I ordered were outstanding. They are served with creamy gravy and a biscuit. I used the drive thru: the process starts great, the order given, heard and you drive on. BUT at the window was the most dry people ever, no hi, no smile, almost mad which made the exit a bad experience. Sorry Church's Chicken but you lose 2 stars ⭐ because of your unfriendly lady at the window. Now I'm not saying let's be friends or what's up pick up lines .... No just simple polite, happy you are here to purchase our chicken kinda of talk. The customer comes back because of the chicken, the service and that SMILE. That's the impression a customer leaves with. So WORK on it Church's Chicken...

Personal was not helpful. As soon as I paid she forgot about me. And continued to prepare the customers order in the drive thru. And thats because I waited for almost 8 to 10 mins to get my place my order. And then to top it off. They got my order wrong. I showed them my receipt. I just ate what they gave me. Over fried, luke warm, nasty chicken. You can do better...
